First, ya gotta know, there’s a photo involved, but it’s not a photo competition—so anyone can win.
Here’s the scoop: For the month of July, Lexar Media is holding a ““Take the Next Shot” Sweepstakes, and the winner gets their choice of either a Nikon D300s or a Canon 7D, along with a Lens and a Lexar 600x memory card (plus runners-up get 300x cards).
All you have to do is follow Lexar on Facebook or @Lexarmedia on Twitter and then just email them a photo. This makes you eligible for the drawing for the prizes (they’re not judging the photos, just using that as an entry into the contest). Click either one of those links above for more details, or to enter.

Thanks, Mike. Your suggestion resulted in my sending a photo to Wildfire. Then I saw the post about the e-mail address on Facebook and sent another photo there.
Too bad the contest is not open to a global audience, only selected countries :(

Scott, Tiger Woods is in Ireland and by the 12th Hole he banned ALL photographers from taking his picture, caused chaos in this small town Adare, Co.Limerick this is a charity event JP McMannus to raise money for kids, did you have any similar problems when you shot Tiger ??

There’s no mention in the rules of having to submit a photo for entry to the contest. When I went back to look a second time, I was informed that I was already entered into the sweepstakes.
On Facebook (it might be different for Twitter), besides filling out the form to enter the sweepstake it also says:
Simply become a Fan of Lexar Media on by clicking the “Like” button above and email a favorite photo to lexarcontest@matternow.com, along with a 15-word caption, your full name and a valid email address. Lexar Media will select a winner at random. Contest runs from July 1-July 31 so make sure to tell your friends! Please see the terms and conditions page for eligibility information and official contest rules.

Just an FYI, Lexar confirmed with me via Twitter that Facebook is Required. So, those of us with Twitter accounts but no Facebook account are out of luck. (Not even a chance of a new 300s is enough to get me back on Facebook..lol).
