Great Intro… Although I don’t shoot many weddings now, I really enjoy David’s classes on Kelby Training and I am sure this will be a great book and one that I will not only be buying because you never stop learning but also one that I will recommend to my students.

I went to flip through it at my local Barnes&Noble. It is really good and surpassed my expectations. My only criticism is the price. I feel it should have been priced similar to Hot Shoe Diaries.

Got the book when it first came out and it is fantastic!!! It is everything that Scott says it is.
Scott, I actually bought this book last week, before I knew you were the editor. I can attest that this book is probably the best wedding photography book I’ve read so far. While Ziser has a less than optimal “bedside manner” (with assistants and models at least), he definitely has a great eye and this book is full of insightful techniques and tips. I highly recommend it and am confident it will help me generate more wedding photography sales.
This is a great book. Lots of infromation on Composition. Not just fdor wedding shooters.

I got it last friday and i LOVE it! I can already tell it’s going to be a wonderful resource, he answers in a normal understandable way questions i’ve had about lighting and posing. He does a fantastic job and he isn’t as vague as many writers are. Def worth it!
I’ve received and read the book already as well and highly recommend it. I’m not a wedding shooter and never will be, but am trying to learn many of the skills of a wedding shooter. Need to get environmental portraits? That’s in there. Need to light a group? That’s in there. Need to know how to pose people? That’s in there. Need to know how to light folks at a party? That’s in there, too.
Great book, plus David Ziser is one of those folks who gives away so much great information for free on his blog.

Just got mine the other day and it’s very handy for those hard to expose and light portraits. I went to his “A new Dawn” worksop in Charlotte,NC and it was well worth every penny. David’s blog is another good sorce for photo info at http://www.digitalprotalk.com .
Now, I’m no Wedding Photographer but despite that having seen some of David’s work I just had to attend his Pre Con’ at PSWorld Las Vegas; the exact same one Scott & Dave were at too and I remember us all, as Scott says being totally blown away. David’s enthusiasm for what he does is totally infectious and I’m not exaggerating when I say that he fits in a full days teaching in that short pre con which was maybe 3-4 hours max. Unbelievable stuff.
Now here’s the clincher! I was gonna order the book anyway but on my to do list was to update my payment card for my ongoing NAPP membership…I put the details in…membership renews but not just that a FREE copy of David’s new book is shipped too!!!
Photographer of any level?? Get this book cos if it’s anything at all like Scott says and take it from me there’s no exaggeration in how he describes David…it’s gonna be a MUST have!!!

The currently low USD makes US books quite a bargain
(at least here in Germany!)

I bought this book last week via Amazon.com. I have to say, I am thoroughly impressed. Not only does this book contain a wealth of information for new and experienced Wedding Photographers, but it is laid out well and looks great!
In the book David cover everything from lighting patterns to subject positioning, to equipment, right down to his own personal wedding day work flow. I cannot imagine there is someone out there that wouldn’t get something from this book. I often buy Photography books, and it has been a long time since I have found one soo in depth and complete.
If you are even considering photographing weddings, GO GET THIS BOOK! You won’t be disappointed.
