My New Year’s Eve Celebration

At our house, we have a wild time on New Years Eve. We all stay home, huddled together until Midnight where we watch the ball drop at Times Square on TV, then we have our New Years Eve family tradition of “Banana Splits at Midnight” (which is obviously a tradition for our kids, because I don’t like banana splits). A wild night, I know, but I love it.

I was planning a cool post for Monday—kind of a look back at the year here on the Photoshop Insider—but there are some big NFL games this weekend, and…well…I’ve got a long lens or two….so….I’m not sure I’ll have time to write that post until Tuesday or so, if ya know what I mean. ;-)

Here’s wishing you and your family and safe, happy, healthy, and prosperous New Years. I hope 2011 is your best year yet!

Happy New Year Everybody!

  1. I can honestly say that with you and the FANTASTIC people at NAPP and Kelby Training. this year wouldn’t have been as great as it was.

Two Photoshop Worlds, a cover story in Photoshop User Magazine, a Concert training class for Kelby Training and a tour of the offices…. what could be better?

A giant thank you to you and everyone in your organization.

May you have an even better 2011

  2. A HUGE Thank You to you Scott and everyone at Kelby Media Group.
2010 has been quite a year for a whole host of reasons both personal and business so I’m entering 2011 excited about what it has to bring.

Thanks for all you do; thanks for your support, your generosity and above all thanks for your friendship.

All the very best to you and yours,
Glyn … aka Babe depending on the what day of the week it is :)

  3. Happy new year to you and your family and to all at Kelby Media.
This has been a big learning year for me on a photography level and as a father and husband. I will be joining NAPP and the kelby group tomorrow as I have been saving up the small amount of money needed. Very cool that now I can watch more than just the intro’s.
Also happy new year to all on the blog.
    Very exciting for 2011.

  4. Happy New Year Scott

I have enjoyed reading your blog all year. I’ve learned a lot and can honestly say I’ve become a much better photographer because of your and your organization. The on-line training, weekly shows and your books have been immensely helpful and informative.

All the best to you and your amazing staff for 2011.

    Regards,
    Upde

  6. A very happy new year to you, and the gang! 2010 has been a huge learning year for me too, and most of the thanks goes to your organization and all the teachers at PSW Vegas! It was a great time and the best convention I’ve been to!

    Thank you,
    Alex

  7. Happy New Year to you and yours, Scott, and to everyone on the team at Kelby Media Group. So glad I started to follow your blog and Matt’s blog….I have really learned a lot about photography in general and post-processing in particular. Your CS5 book, LR3 book and Matt’s Layer’s book have been terrific reads (and another thanks for the autographs!). I’m so glad I purchased them. And let’s not forget about the benefits of a NAPP membership! I’ve already saved money at Mpix and B & H. One of these days I’ll make it to a PSW conference! Hope one of your tours makes its way to Boston in 2011….

When you do your recap of 2010, can you tell us your goals and wishes for 2011 as well?

Beware of the dreaded brain freeze when you are having your banana splits tonight! :D

  10. Happy New Year! With two children under two, we’ve been sleeping and setting an alarm to kiss at midnight and go back to sleep. I love the banana splits idea!
