My Original “Photoshop Insider” Blog is Still Online

oldblog

For years I had been writing my blog using Blogspot.com, and then in April of 2007 I switched to a WordPress powered blog (which I love), but the old blog is still posted online, with all the original posts going back to June 2005 (when I first started blogging) still in tact.

I stumbled on it a week or so ago, and it’s fun seeing some of the things that were going on, and topics we were discussing back then.

If you’ve got a spare minute, you can check it out right here.

  1. You should be able to easily import your Blogspot posts into WordPress, I did it when I started my WordPress.org blog not too long ago. They should just fall into place chronologically (theoretically, that is) ;) … you might see some formatting issues but at least they’ll all be in one place.

  2. Scott – timely you looking back at these. I’ve been revisiting all the old photoshop user tv’s from very first episode. Good to look back on all this stuff – some great tips and tutorials in there. Will check out the old blogs. All the best.

  3. not related to your post at all…..just wanting to say that my sister-in-law and I enjoyed being a part of your photowalk that tomorrow morning we are taking our kids out…who are 3yrs, 3.5yrs and 6.5 yrs to do our own walk!! hoping to get some great shots from the kids perspective!

  4. That’s a long time ago in the blog history, impressing!
    As I love golf and photography the;
    Joe McNally’s Photography Feature in Golf Digest got me intersted in looking at the pictuires from Golf Digest. Do you or someone have a link ?

  5. Scott, I believe you can import blogspot posts into wordpress, there is a plugin somewhere for that. If you are interested in having all your old posts here as well… it shouldn’t be too difficult, just export and import. Just a suggestion.

  6. Just bought your lightroom 3 book and have one question/observation. When you discuss importing photos, chapter 1, you tell the reader how to import from the camera and from the computer; yet I am unable to import photos from iPhoto Library. After searching the web I found a site lightroomkillertips.com. the photographer stated that you cannot import photos from iPhoto directly to lightroom. The photos have to be moved to another folder or desktop and then imported into lightroom. Is this the case? Is there a method to import photos directly from iPhoto? If not, please include that information in your next book. It would be very helpful to us lightroom novices.
