Hey gang, Brad here with this week’s pimpy stuff. We’ve got prizes, discounts, some exciting news, and more!

If you’re debating signing up for the Real World Concert Photography pre-conference workshop with Scott Diussa and Alan Hess at Photoshop World, here’s something that might help with your decision…Someone from the class will be going home with a brand new Nikon D7000! The person who gets the best shot from the workshop will win the camera that’s been called the Camera of the Year by Engadget, PDN, and Photo Focus, and received CNET’s Editor’s Choice Award!

There are only a few spots left, so sign up now if you want a chance to win, or even if you don’t… It’s a really fun way to spend a day!

  1. That’s a CAKB prize for the winner! I can’t make the class, due to when my plane lands in Orlando. Maybe next time. Can’t wait to see the winning shot, though!

      1. Kevin:

It’s something we started here last year sometime. It stands for “Cool And Kick Butt”. One of the blog readers took exception to the use of “kick butt” on one of Scott’s blog posts, so we use it all the time now (well, at least Ken Toney and I do!).

  2. The class is a lot of fun. When you think about it, the odds of winning are outstanding. The class is limited to 40 participants and only 28 submitted photos last year when I attended this pre-con. Where else will you get a 1:28 chance of winning a cool new camera?

  3. Alan and I are really looking forward to our fourth time doing this workshop! It’s always a lot of fun. As William said above, there is a very good chance of winning and I can’t wait to see the images!

If you can’t make it, then as an alternative check out the Concert Photography class we did on Kelby Training…

It’s different than the pre-con workshop but it’s a good alternative if you can’t experience it in person. I believe that both would be a very well rounded experience.
