We just released our latest issue of Light It Magazine (our how-to magazine for hot shoe flash and studio lighting) and it’s our biggest issue yet.
It’s available in the Apple Newsstand on the iPad (coming soon for Android), and it’s only $2.99 (all back issues are there, too for $2.99 or you can subscribe for $19.95 for a full year — 8 issues).
Lots of great stuff in this issue, including more lighting for wedding photographers, lighting pets with hot shoe flash, lighting children, location lighting, and tons more. I hope you give it read (here’s the link to it on the App store). :)
Good cause I left my Digital Photography Book 4 at The Flounder and won’t get it till tomorrow. :)

Y cheaper replacement model is? Light It has it in the Gear section but they are impossible to find!
Is Light It optimized for the new iPad? Does it take advantage of the high resolution retina display? If not, are there plans to do that moving forward?

Was looking forward to it, but for last two days the download stalls. Tried different wi fi locations, reinstall, etc., and still I cannot get my issue, despite having paid. Very sad.
Did it finally download ?I still can’t get it. All other issues were fine.
I’m downloading the last issue to give it a try, being an amateur, I hope that the magazine has tips and tricks inside…

Scott – I sent an email to customer service at NAPP hoping to find this answer but no reply yet….curious what made you guys choose Aquafadas to create your magazine, vs Adobe DPS or the other options out there? I’m doing a ton of research on software options right now and my mind is spinning with everything that’s available. Hoping you (or someone out there!) could shed some light…thanks!

Scott, It would be nice to have the table of content for each issue in the App or in the web. I do not keep all issued in my iPad and it would be nice to just check the table of content before downloading a previous issue. Cheers
The issue is wonderful, however, it took FOREVER to download. Far longer than any other digital magazine I subscribe to.

Very disappointing. Now cannot download any issue here in the UK. Seems to accept my purchase then refuses to download.
Hi Scott, I have no idea what’s happened but I have same exactly problem as my buddy Andrew (below). I have purchased the latest issue and it wouldn’t download. I’ve asked few fellow photographers and they have this problem too. By the way we all live in UK.

Whilst the content is great the Light It app is just rubbish – purchased issues not loading or disappearing from my iPad. I have purchased the issues so would like to have and maintain access to them. Can you please get this sorted? Thanks
is there a solution for the downloading problem, yet? i can’t access any of my issues on my ipad because issue 6 is blocking the whole app

I’ve been trying daily to download the free Aug 2011 issue since the release of the iPad3 and have yet to successfully get a copy of it. Is this a known problem on any other issue?

Can anyone download a magazine? I purchased individual copies and had no problem getting them. Once I subscribed, all my magazines disappeared and I can’t download any! No problems with any other magazine subscriptions, only light it. Something needs to be done about this soon. Magazine is great, the app is junk!!

Not impressed with this app!!! Since the move to the newsstand, i have lost issues 2 and 5. I purchased a subscription last week but i still have to pay for latest issues????
