The Grid – Lighting Critiques with Joe McNally
If you missed yesterday’s episode of The Grid, it’s one that you’re going to want to watch! Special guest Joe McNally joined Scott for a show focused solely on critiquing photographers’ lighting. Hearing Joe’s insight from his 30+ years of experience was incredibly eye-opening and thought provoking. 1. Bill has to be my favorite instructor at Kelbytraining. I also live in Washington and would have loved to join him (and Matt). I would love to win the viewing of his show to see what kind of amazing images he was able to capture in my backyard.

  2. Since it’s Free Stuff Thursday… Perhaps this would be a good time to mention a free item from KelbyTraining: there is an iPhone /iPad app that KT has produced that is in dire need of being updated.
Any chance that your app will be brought to new standards? Check the reviews for the problems with it. Thanks!

  3. Awesome, I always wanted to make my way up to Olympic, long drive I will get out there though. I really hope I can win a ticket to Matts class out here in Seattle, come on Scott (or Brad) you can do it, make it happen :) I have been droppin hints to everyone I know that I wanna go to the lightroom class, but no bites so far. it would make an AMAZING early x-mas gift :)

  4. Wish I could say that the contest link for The Grid has been fixed. I just tried it again; now there is a box where it should be, but nothing shows up. Was hoping to win a ticket to Scott’s Dec 3rd seminar in San Diego in The Grid contest…….
So, I’m going to try here and hope the contest goddess is smiling today. I’d love to have a ticket for Scott’s Dec 3rd seminar in San Diego – marked my calendar and everything!!

  5. What a great class! There are so many awesome but unknown access points on the Peninsula. Looking forward to checking this one out since we can actually vist for some real homework/practice!

  6. I’m in the Pacific NW, so a ticket to Matt’s class would be fantastic–as would the Olympic Park rental as it would inspire me to get back up there. Thanks!

  7. Since some are lobbying for the prizes that were to be given on the Grid yesterday, but due to technical difficulties we were unable to submit our submissions..I would like to ask the contest gods to award me the Kelby Training for a year..or Joe McNally’s sketching with light book…

  8. Olympic Park is one of those places I’d LOVE to get to someday. To see Bill Fortney’s class looks to be an awesome class of it, as well. Definitely a “must rent”.

Joe McNally (aka: The Magical Lighting Unicorn) Heading out to San Francisco on the 18th?!?!?! I think I could call in “sick” to work that day to attend. *cough cough*. ;-)
