  1. Can I throw in a job requirement or two? Must be an experienced Kelby Media customer, either NAPP or Training or both. Only a user can understand what you do and how, as opposed to all the others. This person will know your core foundation and take that into the new direction. Otherwise you will have a resume who understands a traditional training company. The fire should include photography and post processing as well as marketing. And probably most important knows what drives someone to NAPP and now beyond. Ask yourself this question would this person have fought tooth and nail at Adobe to have a PS and LR CC bundle?

      1. With a marketing team in tune with their customer base it shouldn’t have even been an issue. The marketing team should reflect the desires of the president, not an attitude of that’s too difficult or impossible, but “we’ll make it happen”. Oops, I’m sorry, my MBA came out again.

    1. I could not agree more with this statement:

“Only a user can understand what you do and how, as opposed to all the
others. This person will know your core foundation and take that into
      the new direction.”

As a “visual learner”, I cannot describe to you how much value KT brought to me in being able to keep up with what’s new in the industry, techniques etc, so you have to pick someone that understands what “you’re” doing in order to promote KT + NAPP to those who need it, and to those who don’t know how much they need it yet!

  2. If I were the marketing person for NAPP, one of the first things I would do was change the email headers of NAPP emails. …because on the iPhone screen I get many emails from:
    “NAPP / National Ass….”

I get a kick out of it every time. Yes, I’m immature. Thank you! :)

  3. I would move to Florida and love to work for you guys in a heartbeat … but there is this whole “marketing genius” thing I would have to learn really fast…. LOL Now if you looking for a fun; energetic people person with some photographic, lightroom and photoshop skills … I’m your girl. :-) Good luck Scott!

  4. i’d drop my job in a heart beat if I had any marketing experience. How about an experienced project manager, passionate about training, who’s led courses and taught business? Kelby Training and NAPP are amazing products.

  5. Good luck finding someone! However, I’m sure luck will have nothing to do with it. You guys have my vote for one of the best Customer Oriented Businesses on the planet so I’m sure you will do your homework and find the right candidate.

  6. Scott: Are you looking to find someone that knows “where” to market KT? or someone to make cold calls? Or someone to “design” marketing pieces? Where do you need the “genius” part applied? Let’s put it this way…I am dying to work there, and I know “where” & “who” need to know about KT…But that’s not knowledge acquired through various degrees unfortunately.
Let me know. Have A Great Weekend!

  7. hi i,m Iranian and my English is very bad but i,d like to learning Photoshop and i have a old picture of one of my family by the way he is dead can you help me to retouching this picture

  8. Right now I wish I was a marketing guy! Fortunately I know a great one, and told him about an opportunity to work with a company I’d love to be part of. Hope he turns out to be the person you’re looking for.
