  1. Scott.. I know that sometimes (especially as of late) you take it on the chin for some of the oddest reasons for posts to your blog here (Canon and CC come to mind). I just wanted to break ranks (and not puckering up here whatsoever) and mention to you just how remarkable experience it was in a 2 fold way.

First was your trip to Paris, and the Lightroom subsequent retouching you did whilst sitting at a table in a dining room, wow.. Second, was the TOTAL access to the 3 classes with Jay Maisel. The internet is remarkable. I don’t really care what the costs of any of this.. I would have only been able to read these moments in time.. You my friend have brought all of this live and moving before my eyes right here in my office. Anyone could have done it.. But they didn’t. YOU did it…. I’m grateful in ways I can’t place into words. I’ve scheduled my seat with RC in Lansing on the 19th.. Looking forward to that. Just wanted to let you know how much one person appreciates this whole Kelby thing you have done.. It’s a pretty cool thing.

    Pancakes.

    1. I agree with ya John. I own a business and I always frequent businesses whos owners frequent mine. Some of the best photogs in the world shoot Canon, who cares! I have a Canon and have just purchased a Sony a7r but the bulk of my lenses are Nikon so I shoot Nikon. I saw a lot of flap over Kelby One too but I love having one place to do all, and the app is so much better. I have always owned both products. It’s similar to Adobe CC, since I have leased the suite I have learned Premier and I’m starting on some other apps, something I may have never done without CC. It really irritates me to see people rag Scott over other folks decisions too. Scott has always had a no whining rule on his blog, wish some readers would adhere. :)

      1. I completely agree with John & Ken.
Haters gonna hate! Why not just keep a negative opinion to yourself?
Not only have I gained a ton of information from the Photoshop Guys over the years, but I’ve also learned a lot of how to teach my students too. When Scott makes mistakes or has technical problems, he laughs at himself and purges ahead. I err in front of my students all of the time. What do I do? Move on and laugh at myself. So many teachers in front of a group can’t admit mistakes. This hurts their credibility in my opinion.
Now, why do I shoot Canon. The college I work for has Canon stuff that I can use so Canon is my brand. Love it!
Thanks for all you guys do!!!
        Mike

  2. Just signed up for Adobe CC yesterday, they made me an offer I couldn’t refuse, $30/mo. since I already had CS4. Would you be covering anything on After Effects?
