It’s Free Stuff Thursday!

The Grid – The Effects of Unsolicited Criticism
The topic of yesterday’s episode of The Grid was The Effects of Unsolicited Criticism, which has grown recently thanks to the anonymity of the internet. Scott and Matt spoke about one photographer’s experience with such feedback (though it was via email, not anonymous), and how it brought her to the point of almost quitting photography completely. This is a photographer whose work is admired by many of us here at Kelby Media Group, as well as KelbyOne instructors. The episode will be posted sometime today, and it’s one you won’t want to miss. Keep an eye out for it on KelbyOne.com and YouTube.

  1. I see McNally is coming to Boston, according to the schedule on KelbyOne! Woo Hoo! Put me down for that class.

Can’t wait to catch the Grid rebroadcast today.

  2. Oooo! Can’t wait to see the Grid.
Please toss my name in the hat for a ticket to One Flash Two Flash with Joe in Sacramento! That would be a GREAT excuse to go see my friends up there that I rarely get to see!

  3. OMG I just saw that Joe is coming out to Seattle. I had to give up my ticket I won to Matt’s class when he was out here, I know I just won the HDR Book which I almost fell out of my chair when I saw that. I would still like to put out there that I would LOVE to go see Joe in Seattle. I caught his class at PSW in Orlando and it blew my socks off, I am still looking for them!!

  4. I’m glad to find this blog – and on Free Thursday to boot! Looking forward to watching the podcast. Have a great rest of the week! :)

  5. A day with the Magical Unicorn of Light in Seattle would be, well, Magical. That would light up my day, for sure. Fill my June 27th with rays of brightness from the Hot Shoe Flash Magician. C[__]

    1. Just viewed TheGrid 141 and wow, Regina’s work is great! Thanks guys for exposing the naysayer of her work, for her sake. Thanks for filling her love tank and inspiring her to pick her camera back up again. I wish my work was half as good as hers.

  6. Scott – Just bought your Lightroom 5 Kindle book and [ ;-) ] really wanted to follow the instructions to view the videos first. Problem is – the Domain expired. You should probably look into it.
