Snapseed 2.0 Is Here!

Hey everyone. RC here. I’m happy to announce that Snapseed by Google just got a MAJOR upgrade and is now live!!! We figured – this is a great time to get some facetime with Google themselves to talk about it!

In this bonus episode of The Grid – Scott Kelby and RC Concepcion are joined by Nils Kokemohr of Google to debut the release of this awesome app.

Want to See a Whole Class on Snapseed 2.0?

I’m a huge fan of the work Google has done with this app. To make it for free takes it to yet another level. How about if we gave you a whole class on using it for free?

For a full 28 lesson class on how to use Snapseed 2.0 make sure you visit http://kelbyone.com/snapseed

  1. That was a good demo and discussion.

I wondered when Nils mentioned that they’d done a lot of optimization/performance work for the smaller device port, if they were also going to back-port the algorithm improvements and lessons learned to the desktop tools ?

  2. It’s great to hear that Google has finally done something with the wonderful Nik tools they bought up. Snapseed is the ONLY mobile-based app I use for photos taken with my mobile devices (not a spokesman).

Now I would like to see something done with the Nik software suite—it hasn’t been updated in quite a while, and I hope Google doesn’t ruin such a great product. (Note: If they can’t, they should give it back to the Nik founders.)

  3. WTH when I started up Snapseed, my phone displayed a message saying that my SIM sent a text message. Never seen this before and no record of what the text message was or where it went! Spooky! To Google???? :(
