I can't give you my favorite iPhone 6 features, because mine hasn't come in yet, but I did makes the leap to IOS 8 this weekend and I absolutely love it! My favorite IOS update in years. So, without further ado (yes, that was ado), here are my Seven Favorite IOS Features (and some of 'em are kinda hidden, but awesome nevertheless): (1) QuickType Predictive Typing I read about this one online, and I kind of shrugged, but once I used it, it became my #1 most-favorite, how-did-I-live-without-this feature. It basically predicts with uncanny accuracy what the next word you're about to type is (based on the word you just typed and it learns the strings of what you commonly type), and it give you three choices you just tap one. OMG it works so much better than I would have imagined. It speeds…

We’ve got some really cool t-shirts for walkers and leaders this year (one of the many walker shirt designs is seen here), and once again (with the gracious help of Rob Jones of Towner Jones Photography), we’re using this to give back as 100% of the profits from t-shirt sales go directly to the Springs of Hope Orphanage in Kenya.  Last year (with Rob’s help and generosity) we raised over $6,000 to feed and cloth the children), and this year we’re hoping, with your help, to hit $10,000 just from t-shirt sales alone (which they could really, really use and we can really, really do)! There are a number of different colors and styles, including mens and ladies cuts, so I hope you’ll pick one up right now and show your support for the walk, and more importantly for the Springs of Hope Orphanage. :) Here’s a link to order yours today NOTE to Walk Leaders: The…

http://youtu.be/M03hu1diCqE First, watch that video above (it’s got all the major specs, and we deliver them short and sweet!), then come on back down to find out why I think the just-announced Canon EOS 7D Mark II is literally going to shake up the entire sports and wildlife photography world (hint: we’ve never seen a camera with these specs, at this low a price — ever!) OK, thanks for watching the video — what you just saw was literally the little brother to Canon’s flagship 1DX, but for nearly $5,000 LESS!!! The reason why this is such a game changer is that when it came to seriously shooting sports and wildlife so many people were literally left out of the game because of the cost of the type of camera you need to shoot at that level, but with Canon putting a camera out there…

http://youtu.be/5IqOrps2kN4 Hey Gang: Canon also released the PowerShot G7 X today, an awesome little point-and-shoot camera that’s a perfect 2nd camera for pros since it takes amazing images yet it literally fits in your pocket, and connects to your cell phone via Wi-Fi!  It’s also great for anyone moving up from a cell phone camera that wants more “umph!” and flexibility. Anyway, check out the video and see what ya think! More details over at Canon (here's the link) You can get it at B&H (well, that's where I'm gettin' mine, anyway). Here's the link. Best, -Scott

Hi Gang: On Monday night I headed back to New York to shoot the US Open Men's Tennis Finals, and I put together a post over at Exposure.co with all the photos, including lots of behind-the-scenes shots and stories of triumph and tragedy (which includes me dropping my 16-35mm on the concrete floor, not once but twice). Anyway, if you've got a sec, here's the link: https://scottkelby.exposure.co/shooting-the-mens-finals I tried to share more of the experience of shooting an event like this, so there's lots of info and shots about that stuff, and of course all the camera, lens, and shooting info. TWO MORE THINGS: (1) Photokina (the world's biggest photography expo, held every two year in Cologne, Germany), kicks off this coming week, and if there are any earth-shattering product releases, I'll have that here for you on Monday morning around 8-ish. (2) Tonight, don't…
