    Well, we're on our way to Boston this week for the Photoshop World Conference & Expo (NAPP's own conference, sponsored by Adobe, and the largest Photoshop event in the world), and I just wanted to give you a heads up that this will be a very light blogging week for me. In fact, so light that I want to send you over to the Photoshop World blog this week where NAPP's own social media ninja Nancy Masse will be blogging LIVE from Photoshop World, including a special live blog from Adobe's opening keynote. The keynote kicks off at 9:00 am this Wednesday morning (which will still be Guest Blog Wednesday here on the blog), so make sure you check out our first-ever live blogged keynote, staring Adobe's own John Loiacono. Here's the link for Wednesday (though you can check out the blog anytime)! FREE…

    We've been getting a lot of frantic calls and emails about our Photoshop for Photographers seminar next week in Houston with Ben Willmore, because a few days ago it sold out. The good news is; we were able to expand the ballroom in the Convention Center to accomodate more people (so everyone on the cancellation waiting list will be now able to attend), and if you weren't already signed up---now you can (although there are already less than 40 seats left, so if you're thinking of going----I'd sign up now. Here's the link.

    Adobe and CDW are hosting a series of events on the Creative Suite (CS4), and they've given us some invites which we're allowed to pass on, so here are the upcoming cities, and the links to download a PDF of the invite (details are included in the PDF). Boca Raton, FL: Wednesday, March 18th (Morton's, The Steakhouse) Invite Link Tampa, FL: Tuesday, March 17th (at Maggiano's Little Italy) Invite Link Washington, DC: Friday, March 13th (at Morton's, The Steakhouse). Invite Link By the way---lunch is included (Sweet!). Should be a great experience, so if you can get out to one of these,  I'd download the invite and RSVP while they're are still seats available.

    Dave Cross, Matt Kloskowski and I put together a quick little video for people who are going to Photoshop World next month in Boston to help them get the most from their experience. If you're going---definitely check out this clip. Also, I learned on Friday that they're extending the Early Bird $100 off registration until next Friday, so if you missed your chance last week, you've now got 'till Friday (here's the link). {module:video_psw_boston_insider}

    Hi everybody. It's Friday, and here's what's up: Apple, I'm Begging You! I don't usually ask Apple for, well...anything, but today I'm begging; please, please, I implore you, give us an option to turn Gestures off on the new MacBook Pro laptops. Besides Photoshop CS4 rotating my canvas and zooming in/out all day, now I'm using Adobe InDesign CS4 as well, and now my text blocks rotate when I least expect it. Of course, it's not just Adobe products (or I'd be pleading to Adobe here instead). My font sizes change in Safari and Email a dozen times a day. It is driving me crazy!!!! OK, that's it----just had to get it off my chest. I'm OK now. My New Tour Dates, and Our New Tour Site We launched a totally redesigned (and vastly improved) version of our live one-day Photoshop seminars site (now…

    I just learned this week that our friend, photographer, artist, Adobe evangelist, and Photoshop Hall of Famer Julieanne Kost is featured in an exhibition of her work (made famous in her highly acclaimed book, "Window Seat") at the Modernbook Gallery in Palo Alto, California. Her exhibition called "In Flight" is featured along with the exhibition "Urban Constructs" by Richard Stultz, and both run through March 1, 2009 at the gallery. Here's a link to see some of Julieanne's work (taken from the window seat of commercial airliners) which are featured in the gallery, and here's the link to the gallery for more info, times and directions. I am so tickled to see Julieanne's amazing work getting the recognition it so richly deserves with a gallery exhibition like this. Way to go! :)
