How can you not love a town that has rocking chairs in their convention center!!!

Man, did we pick the right city to kick off my Photoshop for Photographers tour!!! The people in Nashville ROCK!!!! We had such a fun day (and nearly 300 photographers from all over Tennessee, Alabama and Kentucky showed up), and they were the most fun, most gracious, and just downright into-it crowd you could possibly ask for to kick off a tour. I loved every minute of it, and met some really great, down to earth photographers. Thanks for the warm welcome Nashville!!!

On to Philadelphia on Friday and then New York City on Monday!
I hope you’ll come out and catch my new tour. LOTS of cool new stuff to share!! Here’s all the details:

Hey, whatdayasay we give away two tickets each to Philly and New York!
If you’d like to attend either my Philly seminar on Friday, or New York on Monday and can’t afford to go, just leave me a comment here, and tonight I’ll be two people for each city to come and spend the day at the seminar for free.

Hope I get to chance to show you all the cool new stuff I’ve been working on in Photoshop (and the amazing stuff in CS6), in just a few days. Have a great Tuesday everybody and thanks again to everybody who came out to join me in Nashville (including my buddy Big Donnnnnnnnnn Jones!), I sure had a blast (and I hope you did, too!).

My buddy RC Concepcion is the Guest Instructor at Joe McNally‘s St. Lucia workshop, which is just the most amazing location (and hotel — see above) for a workshop ever!.

This is one of those “once in a lifetime” opportunities to learn from two of the best in the business, and if you want the full scoop, Joe just put a post over on his blog (here’s the link). If you get to do this, just know up front â” I’m totally jealous!!!!

P.S. I’m giving all attendees to Joe & RC’s workshop a copy of my “Lightroom 4 book for Digital Photographers.”

Joe’s brand new tour (produced by Kelby Training) kicks off in Canada next month and today on Joe’s blog he wrote about how the tour came to be, and what he’ll be teaching during this incredible workshop.

Seriously, Imagine spending the day learning all the amazing things you can do with the simplest of lighting set-ups, using just one flash (or maybe two), from the magical unicorn of hot shoe flash himself (OK, that last part is what I call him, but I don’t think I’m alone). ;-)

Here’s how Joe described the tour in his blog post today:

“The point of the day is keeping it super basic, super simple and super fast. “

Here’s the link to Joe’s blog to hear it in his words.

> If you’re like me and you’re thinking, “Hey, it’s Joe. I’m “in!” then here’s the page with all the info and sign-up form.

We’re working on the dates for Joe’s US Tour right now and they’ll be announced very shortly, but if you’re in Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, Calgary or Vancouver, you’re in for an incredible day of learning. It’s just $99 ($79 for NAPP members).

Congrats to Joe on launching the new tour and I can’t wait till he comes near me — I”ll be there for sure!

I am really excited to launch this brand new tour, which is headed to a bunch of US cities this summer, including Nashville, (which I haven’t had a chance to teach there in years), and I hope you’ll get a chance to come out and spend the day with me.

I’ve got SO much new stuff to share, including all the new stuff for photographers in CS6 (there’s plenty!), and all my latest techniques (I’ve got a bunch of cool new stuff), and I can’t wait to get there and share it all. Here’s the five classes I’m teaching each day:

> My new “Photoshop Seven Point System” for Camera Raw (or Lightroom’s Develop module)
> The 10 portrait retouching techniques every photographer needs to know
> More Photoshop Down & Dirty Tricks for Photographers
> My latest Photoshop Killer Tips (all the timesaving, job-saving, tips)
> Before & Afters (I show you the final image, and then exactly how to get there step-by-step starting with the raw out-of-the-camera image).

Here’s the first four stops on my tour:

>  Sacramento, California (July 18th)
>  Nashville, Tennessee (July 23rd)
> Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (July 27th)
> New York City (July 30th)

Here’s all the details, and how to sign up (It’s just $99 for the full day, including a detailed printed workbook).

I hope to meet there in person at one of my tour stops. :)

Because of my own tour schedule, and our events like Photoshop World and the Google+ Conference for Photographers, I don’t often get a chance to speak at other conferences, but when I was asked to speak again at the International Society of Aviation Photography (ISAP) Conference on behalf of Nikon, I jumped at the chance.

This will be the third time I’ve presented at the ISAP Conference, and I have to say of all the conferences out there, this is without a doubt one of the best-run, most-fun, and incredibly value-packed conferences I’ve ever been a part of. The incredible training, and unbelievable shooting access they’re able to arrange for their attendees still amazes me to this day.

I’m speaking on Thursday, but I’m sticking around for their class location shoot on Friday (and catching a night flight home), but if you’re going to be at the conference, make sure you come up and say “hi”!

Here’s a link to their site with more details on the conference. Hope to see you in Norfolk, Virginia this week!
