Hi Gang: I asked our team for as good a deal as we’ve EVER offered on our annual online training subscription plan and this weekend only (until this Sunday night, July 1st at 12:00 Midnight ET), you can take $50.00 off.

That’s right — hundreds of online classes on Photoshop, Photography, Lightroom and Lighting taught by the best instructors in the world (from Joe McNally to Ben Willmore; from Joel Grimes to Cliff Mautner, from “The Photoshop Guys” to Jeremy Cowart and a who’s who of the industry’s best teachers), all for around .50¢ a class. That is just insane!!!

Here’s the link with all the details and where you can get started learning online.

Just use the code KTSKB712 at the checkout to subscribe for only $149.00.

Psst… Hey NAPP members… You still get an extra $20 off, so you can subscribe or renew for just $129.00!! Remember — this is one of  my blog’s “This weekend only deals” so….it’s for this weekend only!

Even though I just got back from London, I am not complaining about taking this trip!

Besides filming what will be another amazing, eye-opening, inspiring day of learning with Jay, I’ll be taping two online classes myself while I’m there:

(1) One on Shooting Travel Photography, and…

(2) One called Photoshop for Travel Photographers (based in part on my Photoshop World session of the same name, but a much expanded, and updated version).

I am as excited about these two classes as I was for my “Crush the Composition” online class because I’m teaching travel photography in a very different way than I have ever seen it taught before (and Paris is a perfect city for it!).

The wifey and some friends are coming along (ya know, for moral support), and of course our in-house video crew will be there along with “The Brad” (you can spot us easily — we’ll all be wearing black berets). :)

I’ll be posting some updates this weekend over on my Google+ page (link), so I’ll hope you’ll stop in there once or twice.

Je serai de retour bient´t mes amis. Au revoir. Au revoir!

You know how Discovery Channel is always doing things like Shark Week? Well, we’re totally ripping them off this week by doing “Photoshop Retouching Week” (we even snagged the shark).

Each night this week at 6:00 pm EST we’ll be doing live FREE online seminars on portrait retouching with Photoshop to give you an idea of the kind of stuff we do every day at NAPP (the National Assn. of Photoshop Professionals). Plus, we’ll have deals and giveaways and other fun stuff.

Last night we kicked it off with Matt Kloskowski and Pete Collins doing some retouching techniques for Wedding Photographers. Tonight at 6:00 pm it’s Corey Barker and Professional Make Up Artist Shelley Giard showing how to apply “Digital Make-up” in Photoshop (some really amazing stuff here—stuff you won’t see anywhere else).

It’s live, tonight at 6:00 pm EST right here.  Hope you can join us!

P.S. We’ll be rebroadcasting all the classes this week free exclusively for NAPP members on the NAPP member site.

On Wednesday evening we are launching the worldwide premiere of one of the best online classes we’ve ever produced, featuring one of the best instructors on the planet, Joe McNally.

You’re invited for this one-time only free broadcast of “A Day with Joe McNally.” If you loved “A Day with Jay Maisel” or a “Day with Jeremy Cowart” this class was tailor made for you. We’ll have Joe McNally himself LIVE with us in the studio, taking your questions, comments, and sharing his stories and instruction in a way only Joe can. After this one-time one free worldwide broadcast, Joe’s class will be only available to Kelby Training Online subscribers, so I hope you can join us for this free live history-making event:

When: Wednesday, 6:00 pm LIVE

Join RC Concepcion and me in this free online Webinar, where I’ll be Lighting, Shooting, and Retouching LIVE online and taking your questions, all based on my brand new book (from Peachpit Press) called, “Light it, Shoot it, Retouch it!” (The book inspired by the live tour).

I hope you can make it (and I hope you’ll pass the word on to your friends so they can join us, too!).

See you this afternoon, live! :-)

Matt, RC Concepcion and I put together a short Kelby Training Online class with some handy tips for photographers on making the most of Google+, and we hope if you’re on G+ you’l find it helpful.

The two part online class is FREE (you can watch it here), and although it’s named “10 tips” we actually snuck in a bunch of other “mini tips” within the main topics. This is really aimed at photographers who are new to G+, but even if you’ve been here a while I hope you pick up a tip or two that might help.

Also, we did a special Part 2 of this class (above), where we did a live Google+ Hangout with some of the most popular, most interesting, and most successful photographers on Google+. You’ll hear from +Trey Ratcliff +Mike Wiacek +Catherine Hall +Alex Koloskov
+Scott Jarvie and +Brian Matiash

Really insightful stuff and it builds on what we covered in Part 1. They cover everything from how many times they post a day, to what kind of posts they do, and their tips for photographers on using G+. Really a great session.
