Hey gang, Brad here with a few updates on books, events, and all sorts of stuff!

  • First off, if you haven’t already ordered Scott’s new Lightroom 3 Book for Photographers, you can do so right here. If you purchase through that link, you’ll also get a free Killer Presets CD from Matt Kloskowski! We haven’t gotten our copies just yet, but we’re expecting them ANY DAY, so order now!
  • Speaking of Lightroom, make sure you check out the dates for the Lightroom Live Tour. Scott’s coming to Fort Lauderdale and New York, and Matt’s coming to Boston, Los Angeles, and San Francisco all this month!
  • If you are a NAPP member, you will definitely want to check out the LIVE Members Only Webinar tomorrow, July 9th from 3:00-4:00 pm Eastern.  Matt, Dave, Corey, and RC will all be hanging out and answering your questions live, right on the spot. Nothing pre-planned, no mapped out lessons. Just you and them, getting through as many questions as they can in an hour!  All the info (and live feed when it happens), right here.
  • If you haven’t already signed up for Photoshop World Las Vegas, you can get registered right here.  Also, we have the best room rate we’ve ever had at Mandalay Bay at only $129 per night!
  • Have you checked out lately? We’re adding new classes every week, including Moose Peterson’s “Nature Photography – Shorebirds,” RC Concepcion’s “Lightroom 3 for the Web,” Dan Margulis’ “There Are No Bad Originals,” and Matt Kloskowski’s “Lightroom 3 In Depth, Part 3 – Printing and Showing Off Your Photos.” Also, keep an eye out for upcoming classes from adventure photographer Tom Bol!
  • And if you haven’t signed up for the 3rd Annual Worldwide Photo Walk yet, it’s not too late! Go here and type in your location to find a walk near you!

That’s it for today, and make sure you check out today’s guest blog from celebrity and fashion photographer John Wright!

I only do one landscape workshop a year, and I only do it with my good friend, and world famous landscape photographer Bill Fortney, and we only have 15 spots open, and I’m hoping you snag one of those, because I promise you—-you are going to learn a ton, laugh a lot, and come away with some amazing photos and new techniques.

This time we’re headed out to the Moab, Utah area (Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park), and if you’re comin’ along, plan on gettin’ up early for some amazing sunrise shooting, then later we’re back in the classroom for Lightroom, Photoshop, and Photography, and afterward we’re back out for a sunset shoot in some of the most scenic landscape locales in the country.

Joining Bill and I are photographers Wayne Bennett (who was with us last year in Savannah) and Richard Small, so we’ve got a great crew on board once again.

The workshop runs Wednesday, October 6th thru Sunday October 10th, 2010. The cost is $895 per participant, and once those 15 slots are gone, they’re gone, so if you want to go, reserve your seat right away (there will be 30 participants total, plus leaders; the other 15 slots went to participants from our workshop last year in Savannah).

To reserve your seat, call (606)-528-6119 or (606)-344-0455. Hope to see you out West with Bill and the gang. It’s gonna be a total blast!

P.S. you can read my report from last year’s Savannah workshop with Bill, right here.

I’ll be in Atlanta, Georgia next Friday (May 28th) with my “Photoshop for Digital Photographers” tour, and I want to make sure you’re there, so go snag a seat right now (here’s the link), and spend the day with me learning all the latest new stuff (including the new CS5 stuff for Photographers).

Also,  I’ll be coming in to Atlanta on Thursday, so if anybody’s got any ideas on a great place to shoot, or a sporting event I can weasel a media credential for, make sure you let me know and we’ll go a shootin’. Otherwise I’ll be sitting in my hotel room watching How I Met Your Mother and Rules of Engagement. ;-)

I hope I get to meet you in person in Atlanta next week! Can’t wait!!!!

Big News: We taking the show on the road as Kelby Training Live presents Joe McNally’s Location Lighting Tour in London, England (for the first time ever), on Friday, July 23rd, 2010 and it is going to be just an unbelievable day!!!!! (photo above by Drew Gurian)

You guys are in for a real treat, as Joe’s tour has been playing to standing room only crowds coast-to-coast here in the U.S. and his tour absolutely gets rave reviews, and now we’re bringing the tour to Islington’s Business Design Centre, and he is absolutely going to rock the house.

Not only do we expect a sell-out in advance, but I wouldn’t be surprised to find out that while Joe is there, either (a) He gets Knighted by Her Majesty the Queen, or (b) He gets arrested on a variety of changes, mostly having to do with public nudity and the ensuing bar fight. It’s a chance we have to take.

Seriously though, we’re really excited to have Joe take the tour over there for us, and we hope you’ll get a chance to spend an amazing career-changing day learning from one of the most gifted, passionate, hilarious, and brilliant lighting and photography instructors on the planet.

Here’s the link with all the details. Don’t miss it!

I’m bringing my “Photoshop for Digital Photographers” Tour to Atlanta on Friday, May 28th and I hope you can join me for the day.

I haven’t been to Atlanta in a few years (well, with a seminar anyway. I fly Delta, so it seems like I’m in Atlanta every other week), so I’m really looking forward to coming to town (and sneaking over to The Varsity for a greasy burger).

We have limited seating, so if you want to come and learn all the latest stuff (I’ll be adding in some CS5 stuff along the way), you can sign up  for just $99 for the full day, including the step-by-step workbook (NAPP members come for only $79). Here’s the link with all the details.

Hope I’ll get to meet you in person in Atlanta.
