  1. I have all the volumes of this series and even if I don’t get a free copy, I know I’ll buy it. (Give me a free copy, though. I’ll cherish it.)

  2. woooa almost the first! I would love to have the book! I don’t live in the US but Amazon ships to my country [Colombia]! and Scott you are a natural professor for this art!

  3. I have this book and absolutely love the whole set. In fact, I have made laminated cheat sheets of important stuff and the cards are tied to my camera bag all the time. I am a huge fan of Kelbytraining as well. I’d love to gift this book to my friend.

  4. i love that book, i learned a lot from it. Would really love to be able to attend Shoot like a pro in LA or a new copy of the book for my mom.

  5. I would definitely give the book to my father who used a Minolta SLR when I was growing up. He struggles with technology (but he calls me less after our family went in together and bought him a Mac). I think the book might really help. I gave him the Jay Maisel disc that I was sent the last time I renewed my NAPP membership and he seemed inspired by it.

  6. I already have the first edition of the book and its really helpful from beginner to more advanced level of photography. I am curious to see the second edition

  7. Those are some good books. Recommend them alot. My local camera club needs door prizes for our annual dinner. Could Scott sign it?

  8. Hey! I’d love to give this book to a great friend of mine who just got into digital photography two months ago, and has already made leaps and bounds in his humble beginnings. This would be a great chance to fuel his newfound passion!

  9. Hi Brad and Scott,
I’d like a chance at a ticket to your show in LA, Scott, or your latest Digital Photography Book. Either would be terrific. Thanks

  10. Hi Brad and Scott,

I already have the first edition of the book, but definitely, I like to have a look at the second. Greetings from Spain

  11. I could write all nice things about the book, or say how I really Need this book but the truth is I like to get good Free resources…. so pick me please.

  12. I’ve purchased all of the books in this series. I’m an experienced photographer and there wasn’t much in the books that I didn’t already know, but Scott’s a funny guy and these books are an entertaining read, so I have to keep buying them.

  13. Bought the first and third book, won the second from you for suggesting an idea that you used in another book …. lost them all in the move … would love to re-acquire them, starting with book one again (and signed, again, please?)

  14. I have just discovered the 1st book… downloaded the Kindle sample, got hooked and could not wait for the paper copy so purchased the Kindle version. Read 1/2 of it last night. I will get the paper version as a present for my daughter to get her started on the right path with her DSLR photography. Great book Scott.

  15. I love the way Scott explains things in his books, easy to understand even for the complete novice. So I would love a copy of this book to improve my Noviceness!

  16. Love your books. Had 3 complete sets. 2 were given to two local high schools. Our camera club has been mentoring kids at risk. The club purchased a few SLR cameras and some point & shoot cameras for them to use. Your book would be a perfect addition to this program and would be given in “your name”. I personally can’t thank you and your staff enough for all you’ve done to advance knowledge and enjoyment of all aspects of photography. Thanks ever-so-much!

  17. Great books, just picked up a copy of Part 4 for myself! Would love to have this version for my son, who’s just started out shooting for himself – they’re wonderful, quick reference books.

  18. Winning a copy of the second edition would be great. It would also be great to see Scott coming to Kansas City sometime soon to teach a class!

  19. Followed a link from an article on Garr Reynolds page about Personal Kaisen and constant improvement, and your name was mentioned in it as THE best guy for improving my photography. Lady luck lead me here. Here’s hoping I get lucky !!

  20. It’s be great to get the latest version. Congrats to whoever wins it (if not me). The first edition really helped launch me into the DSLR era (I was late to the party, waiting on a full frame Canon).

  21. Just bought a Kindle version of the new edition on Amazon. Unfortunately the kindle version is faulty! The informational inserts where Scott lists his recommendations or gives special tips are rendered incorrectly and display as blank black blocks. Please ask Amazon to review and update the version on their website. Otherwise, I love the book!

  22. For me this was the book that started it all. Bought it at (fairly) random looking for a starter book and never looked back. I’ve since bought a library of Kelby books and recommended them to every student I’ve ever had. But without this book I would never have picked up an dSLR. Very very excited to see what’s in the new one. Thank you Scott.

  23. I had a copy of the first edition and thoroughly enjoyed it. Then I loaned it to someone, never to be seen again! Now my set seems incomplete, with the other 3 sitting on my bookshelf. I’d love to have a copy of the refreshed edition!

  24. I really enjoyed The first edition of Scott’s book. Unfortunately I loaned it to my daughter who lost it, so I’d love to have the latest edition.

  25. Have your Lightroom book. Enjoy all your sites & it seems like you all are having a great time! Hope this goes through this time!

  26. Nothing better than Scott’s classic tome of light and pixels to kindle one’s creativity. Would love to add a copy to my studio library.

  27. I already have the first book, but would love to check out the updates in your new book. If I win, I promise to donate the first edition to a deserving soul. :-)

  28. Do you think I can get it delivered by tomorrow to read it in time for a wedding on Sunday? :)
BTW, it’s my second week with the highly addictive Kelby Training and I’m very pleased, learning faster than on my own, and will eventually end up broke with all the accessories that I want to get now. Stay still and keep moving :)

  29. I’ve given away all four volumes and bought 4 more for myself. I’ve also given away your “It’s a Jesus Thing” book. I’d much rather give away the latter!! I enjoy them all.

  30. Actually really interested in Hollywood photography, would love to get a peek at that class (or that book…that would be awesome too :D

  31. Scott’s Digital Photography Book Series are “OUT OF THIS WORLD AMAZING!!” I just love them and refer to them all the time. Brad, I would love the updated edition!! I could then pass my current copy to a friend or donate it to my local library.

  32. I have bought all 4 and given several set as gifts. I think they are full of concise recipes for bettter shots. Thanks for writing them and I would love the update.

  33. Excited about the new update of the book. Looking to share it with some friends who could use the great tips I have long referred to in the first edition.

  34. Hi Brad and Scott. I’d love to win a copy! I just found your website because my boss is sitting in a class by Scott right now. (in Seattle) He just texted everyone is paying attention because Scott is so interesting and packs tons of information in. I’d just like to make my photos as good as my boss’ photos. :)

  35. I’ve borrowed these books before and have been thinking about picking up a copy for my library. Can’t wait to see what’s been updated.

  36. When I was learning to read this book was better than Dr. Suess!!! J/k But this is a great book for the Digital Photographer or any photographer. Great Techniques and a joy to read.

  37. I remember reading the first few sections of Scott’s book a few years ago and I got a lot from just those few snippets of info. Would love to add the new, updated version to my library and finally finish reading it.

  38. Love your sight and your talent. I have been out of photography for a few decades but just getting “updated”. Bought the D7100, 38-300 glass and the 910 flash a few weeks back. Also bought your 4 volume set and am loving it. I’m working on Lightroom4 or 5, and not happy about the change to Cloud subscription but that will have to on my PowerBall win wish list. Your contribution to digital is much appreciated.

  39. Always an opportunity to learn something new/different by reading quality books. If you pick up one new technique or tip, it is well worth it.

  40. So yesterday I had the opportunity to attend the#ShootLikeAProTour by +Scott Kelby. This was absolutely hands down without a doubt the BEST photography class I have ever taken. Scott has an amazing way of explaining everything, so that even us NEWBIES can understand it, all while still keeping it fun, I mean really fun. I was lucky enough to win the tickets, but I can tell you that it is well worth the $99 they charge, heck even at $200 it would be a steal. When I all these crazy things that have happened to me and my family pass and I get back on a good financial track, I am for sure 100% becoming a #NAPP and +KelbyTraining.com member. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Great stuff Scott, I could not have asked for more.

  41. Was hoping to come to your LA class, but a Broken hip work injury is keeping me in norcal,
Might have to miss Photoshop world in Vegas this year too. That bugs me the most!
Anyway thanks for all the training online that is keeping my mind fresh!
Would love a copy of the book, but if I don’t win, that’s ok too

  42. My daughter is a budding photographer and has been working with a professional to learn. This book would be great for her.

  43. I am beginning photography and I fell like I have a passion for it. that’s why I’d love to have the first photography book so that I can be better at my gift.
