It’s Free Stuff Thursday!

Worldwide Photo Walk
Have you signed up for the Scott Kelby Worldwide Photo Walk yet? We’re less than a month away, but there’s still time to find a walk near you and sign up. There are nearly 15,000 already people signed up to take part in this year’s event! New walks are being added every day, so if you don’t see one near you, keep checking back. If you’re already signed up, don’t forget to pick up your official Worldwide Photo Walk shirt (or hoodie). All of the profits from the shirt sales will go to the Springs of Hope Kenya Orphanage, so you’re helping kids in need when you make your purchase.

The Evolution of My Gear with Zack Arias
Have you ever suffered from G.A.S. (gear acquisition syndrome)? You are not alone! Join Zack Arias at his Atlanta studio in his latest KelbyTraining.com class, The Evolution of My Gear , as he shares the story of his relationship to gear; from where he started to how that relationship has evolved over the years based on his skills, assignments, and needs. It is a story we can all relate to, whether beginner or seasoned pro. In the end, it all boils down to camera, lens, and light.

  1. My first seminar was Ben Wilmore in Atlanta many years ago, would love to go, shooting football. My walk is over 1/2 full so if your near the upstate of South Carolina search Spartanburg on the WWPW web site.

  2. I had a minor panic attack when the list of Scott’s seminars didn’t include DC on 10/25. Especially since I’ve already signed up and can’t wait. But double checking the link above shows it is there. Whew! But if you all want to let me win a class that isn’t on the list above, I’m in.

  3. I just picked up a hard copy of your Lightroom 5 book. It is fabulous as usual and i am itching to get at it. Your digital photo books brough be back to photography in a BIG way. Just one comment though, I had bought the digital version of the book for my iPad. Man, does that format not work well. Slow, cumbersome, cannot navigate easily between the pages and chapters, crappy lay-out. I don’t know what happened, but the books are terrific and must be pciked up in hard cover. Keep up the great work.

  4. I think all photographers have at least a little bit of G.A.S. Personally I like to extend the abilities of high quality, so called “cheap” lenses that can rival L’s.

  5. Speaking of Free Stuff, the Nik-Google software bundle that was mention on the last day of Photoshop World, was emailed to me yesterday. It is the same release that Nik gave away just before the Google acquisition.
