Take my new class on creating custom photo books in Lightroom 4 — for free!

Whatdayasay we end the year with a free class! We just released this new class on creating your own custom photo books using Lightroom 4, and you can take the class for free as our way of saying “Thanks for an amazing year.”

Here’s how it works:
I mentioned here a few weeks back that we now offer some of our classes as downloadable 3-day rentals (just like you’d download a movie rental), and that’s the case here, but you’ll notice that instead of there being a $9.99 rental fee, the rental button says FREE.

Here’s a link to the class, and I hope you find it helpful (photo books are easy to get hooked on — make one and you’ll fall in love).

Here’s to a 2013 filled with lots of wonderful images (and some beautiful custom books).

All my best,

-Scott

  1. Scott, how do you make any money by giving away all this great free stuff? :-) Seriously, thanks for a great 2012. So much great info from you and your crew this past year, from PhotoshopUser TV, The Grid, the new Photography Tips & Tricks, and of course Photoshop World. I just saw the new Photoshop classes have been posted to the NAPP website and I’ll be diving into those in the new year. What a great time to be a NAPP member!

Have a very Happy New Year! Hope you make it up to Boston in 2013!

  2. Thanks for the class Scott! Im considering subscribing to Kelby training but I am concerned with the iPad app. Do you have an update coming soon to the app? When I use it, it always crashes after every lesson.

      1. My app works great but I remember back when it first came out I had problems and I think it was Nancy that told me of a setting to change on iPad that fixed it, can’t remember what it was though.

  3. Hi Scott,
I don’t use LR, however, I see Matt is coming to OKC. I will make the seminar because of the similarities of ACR and LR. That said, I hear you guys talking about LR all of the time and how great it is. I fully expect Matt to sell me on this even though I will go into the seminar with skepticism.
Your free class is an excellent idea for you to get the “bug” of Kelby Training. You guys do a great job.
    See ya soon Mike

      1. Yes, I do resemble that remark. Dang, I turn 55 on 1/22. I’m buying Matt’s Seminar class for my birthday present. One thing about getting old, it beats the alternative! Not quite ready for the dirt nap! :)

  4. Thanks again for sharing this class with us. I rented it when you first released it and took comprehensive notes that will help me make so many creations in the future. Have a wonderful new year!

  5. I swear that just last night, I was thinking that I needed to research how to do this. This is very generous of you. Happy New Year to you & your family & the KMG family, too!

  6. Thank you for showing us this class for free,I’ve had a great afternoon and learned a lot about books but other tips too, the font scrolling & sizing will save lots of frustration, Happy New Year…

  7. Thanks for the free class Scott. I love all the custom features and tips for the book module. FYI I have used LR from from it’s inception & recommend it to photographer. Happy New Year!

  8. Thanks for this class, very much appreciated. Watched the first two videos, but when trying to see the rest of them it says ‘Video not found: http…blah blah blah’. Is this on my end or… And thank you for explaining the little white flag hickup in LR, I thought I was just going crazy.

  9. Wow! Thanks for creating this. Truthfully, I would not have even looked at the “create a book” module, since I make my own ( in a much more time consuming fashion). I am excited to start one and excited to get to know Blurb. This was a really amazing video. Thanks and Happy New Year to all of you at Kelby Training!!
