  1. How about this then? As a University photographer I’ve done Headshots of just over 732 staff over the last year or so. Deserve a book or what? :-) Regards Tomas

  2. That book is like the bible for portrait photography. I can already see that book sitting in every hotel room’s bedside table during photoshop world. Oh Hurley almighty!
P.S: In case it wasn’t obvious enough I would love to win this book :)

  3. Thoroughly enjoyed Chris Gillett’s post yesterday. Actually read it all end-to-end, THEN when and checked out the photos on his web site.
Spending time with Peter Hurley one-on-one is on my Bucket List. Love is style and the way he teases emotion out of people. And all his videos on KelbyOne Rock. Check em out people :-) And yes, I’d love to read his book, cuz I don’t think I’m going to make it thru my full bucket list…

    1. Tom, that is so kind of you to say. My fragile ego thanks you. If you can’t get with him one on one, the book has all the information. Hope you win! Wish I had updated my website!

  4. Peter has not only nailed this subject but he does an awesome job of explaining his technique — definitely would love to get my hands on a copy of his book

  5. I finally got my hands on one at AdobeMax but the line was crazy long and I ran out of time . Would love to add this to my collection of KelbyOne books.

  6. This contest has my complete endorsement. If you can’t wait for me to narrate the audiobook version, the hard copy is the best deal in town. I bought the hardcopy and the Kindle versions. Good luck!

  7. I have taken pictures most of my life and was thrilled to go digital, for so many reasons. My main focus, by just loving them, is Trees. I am now stepping towards taking people photos and would love to have this book to help me on my way.

  8. Long time member of Scott’s Work. I’m impressed and thank for the longevity and interest in helping others succeed by bringing in all these resources!

      1. Yeah! Just saw it too! Thanks Chris for a great blog (I’ve saved a copy for re-reading purposes) and the Kelby folks for the opportunity to win this one! I’m really looking forward to it. Love the Grid critiques shows with Peter, I’m pretty sure I’ll be reading this book front to back, back to front. Yay!

  9. Oh YES!!! This would be wonderful to win. I was feeling a bit so-so about how useful it might be, but Chris’ guest post yesterday makes the book sound really great.

    1. I’ve read it a couple of times, and it appears to have everything he teaches in his intensive. Frankly, I was surprised that he didn’t hold any information back as there were some things that he only used to teach in the intensive. To get all that information for whatever the cover price is…that’s nuts.

  10. Things may change next year and if they do some local theater actors could benefit from me reading this book. But actually I cast my vote for Tomas Tyner to win.

  11. I was just looking at purchasing this book… free is always better, though lol. I’m big fan of PH’s work and have seen a few of his videos. The way he gets expressions out of people is amazing.
