My Teaching Schedule at Photoshop World

Yesterday I shared which classes I would take if I weren’t teaching. Luckily, there’s hardly anything I love more than teaching, and I’m doin’ a whole bunch of it at Photoshop World (and obviously, I don’t teach grammar). ;-)

Here’s my schedule, in case you have a chance to come back and catch what I’m teaching:

Tuesday 3/29:
2:30 pm       My band is playing a set at the Concert Photography Workshop

Wednesday 3/30:
9:00am        I’m hosting the opening Keynote
12:00pm      I’m teaching my brand new Portrait Retouching class
8:00pm       My band, Big Electric Cat, is playing at the attendee party

Thursday 3/31:
10:45am     My new class: “Photoshop for Travel Photographers”
12:00pm     I’m leading a panel on why photographers should become bloggers
2:45pm       I’m taping an episode of Photoshop User TV on the Expo Floor
4:00pm      I’m taping a live episode of “The Grid” with a very special guest
10:00pm    I’m hosting the incredibly fun “Midnight Madness” event

Friday 4/1:
10:00am    I’m doing a Retouching presentation in the Wacom Booth
10:45am    Book signing for my Portrait Retouching Book at Peachpit Bookstore
11:15am     My “Behind the Scenes Lighting Techniques” at the Manfrotto Booth
2:15pm      My Lightroom Killer Tips class

It doesn’t look like I’ll be getting a lot of sleep that week, but I don’t care—-I love Photoshop World!!!! It’s one of the most fun things I get to do, and I can’t wait for it to get here! :)

If you’re going to Photoshop World next week, I hope you’ll stop by and catch a few of my sessions. If you’re not going…..it’s not too late (here’s the link). See you in Orlando.

  1. The more I look at the class schedules, the more I realize that sleep will be at a premium next week! Who cares? I plan to have a blast at PSW. I will be catching a couple of your classes, Scott. A book signing, too? I can add to my library of signed books by you and your staff (RC will be on the docket, too!).

    1. Scott:

Are you covering things at Photoshop World that you will be doing on your tour coming to Boston on Thursday? If so, that would make me change my schedule for your classes that I plan to attend. No offense intended! :D

      Thanks,

      –John

    2. Last September was my first PSW, and I was lucky to get 4-5 hours a night. I even was going to sleep in on Friday, but then realized I didn’t want to miss Moose Peterson’s landscape class, so I sucked it up and realized I could sleep on the plane that evening.

  2. Wish I could be there (health: body and wallet!). Next year, I hope. Come teach in Canada! We’ll show you some fall colours (that’s how it’s really spelled) and wildlife.

Comment about the Grid: love it, lightens my day. However I notice the ad at the top of the page is for a Gitzo monopod — I hear these are prone to breakage…

  3. I will definitely be catching some of your classes. I have enjoyed your Lightroom and Down and Dirty Tricks Tours when you have come to Orlando! I can’t freakin’ wait! Will you be doing any portfolio reviews? I just started shooting baseball for Stetson University and would like someone to take a look at my work.

  4. Check out this guys stuff…Pictures that make you say Hmmmmmmmm……..

Meet Erik Johansson,a young yet very talented artist from Sweden. He creates his wonderful images by digitally modifying photographs that he took himself.

When you look at his photos you can see not only the mastery of photography but also great photoshopping skills. He has very brave ideas, skills to implement them and good sense of humor.
You can see more about him and his work at http://www.alltelleringet.com/ and

    Enjoy.

Where the heck do you get the energy to play in a band, teach, be a Photoshop and Lightoom guru, romp all round the country and be an accomplished photographer! Not to mention the prep for all this. Share the ingredients, please!

  6. I was able to attend PSW in Vegas a couple of years ago and attended your Typography class. When are you going to create a version of that on kelbytraining.com? It was a great session and I still refer to it in the manual.
