  1. I’ve taken your two new courses on flash (Just One Flash and Just One More Flash) and they have been a great help to my flash photography. I’d love to have one of your new books on flash signed by you.

  2. Scott, put my name in the virtual hat, to win your newest book.
Probably a bit late, to wish you a Happy New Year, so instead, I’ll wish you an abundance of positive outcomes, for 2018 :)

  3. Got your other books, why not add this to the collection of helpful information. Would love a signed copy by the great Scott Kelby author extraordinaire.

  4. Hi Scott, I own the ebook ,bought it when I went and used the Rockynook coupon to get another freebie during the KelbyOne 12 Days of Christmas. I have found it to be a good guide. I could gift a hardcopy to a friend or photoclub member to send them off on “make your own light” adventures.
    Thanks

  5. Flash is my biggest weakness, I hardly ever use it except when I’m in bright sunlight or when there is absolutely no choice. I’ve hand-held shots at 1/6 of a second (successfully) to avoid flash. I know a lot about how to ensure you don’t get those background shadows, or flash highlights on the skin – but I just hate using it. If you can increase my comfort with the final “look” of a flash photo, you’re a genius – and not one of those geniuses that grant you a wish when you rub the bottle … or something.

  6. Hi Scott,
I have very much enjoyed following you over the years, as a source of creativity, ideas and inspiration. Love the fact how playing music also figure heavily in your life and work. Maybe I might be lucky and win a book.

  7. Scott: You’ve taught us to love our cameras, love our photos, love Photoshop, and love Lightroom (Classic, of course). Now our flashes!! The world can always use some more love!! Send me some love! Here’s to a great new year with all the folks at KelbyOne.

  8. If have already bought the flash e-book
Because I do really like your books
Because of your senses of humor ;-)

No it would be nice to read it on paper
And take for some shorts walks…

  9. Happy New Year Scott! Thanks for teach us all how to flash! ;-)
(I would love a copy of your new book, as I can totally relate to the flash phobia, you describe)

  10. Hi Scott, I got a Flash and to be honest don’t like to use it, i’m carrying it around in my Camera Bag and thats it… i don’t know how to use it properly. So I realy would love to get your awsome Book.

  11. Hi Scott, I just want to say thank you. My grandfather got me into photography but your books helped me hone in the craft. So much so I gave my sister in law my hard copy set and rebought them digitally. Now 2 of us make sure our photos come out SHARP. And I’ll always recommend your books.

  12. Hi Scott! First, let me say thank you for sharing your talents and creativity here and on KelbyOne. I appreciate all the hard work involved by you and your staff to share info and create great classes. I’m a better photographer because of them and I’m grateful. Thank you! Secondly, I am continuing to learn from you and would be thrilled to receive an autographed copy of your new book. Thanks for the chance to win it! I wish you good health and success in the New Year. Keep those classes coming!!

  13. Wow! Scott your generosity is amazing. I appreciate all the ways you create to help others be their best in this field and as people of the world. I will never forget the one Photowalk I did with you and seeing the way you treated those around you. Thank you, again, for giving so much of yourself. :)

  14. I would love a signed copy of this book. I have already ordered it and I’m waiting for it to arrive. If I won I would gift the one I’ve ordered to a friend of mine.

  15. Scott, I enjoy all that you do, you have seriously helped me out so much in my photography. If I don’t win this, I will buy this book at some point. I have a flash and I want to love it! Help me love it!!!
    Spray cheese for the win!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  16. Hey Scott! I would love to have your John Hancock on one of your books! I could read it while eating my cheeseburger with mac & cheese on the side….

  17. Hi Scott! I would love to have a copy of your book! The flash is my “weak link” and I’d really like to improve this aspect of my photography! Have a blessed year!

  18. I would love to win this book, I am VERY interested in this particular book. If it is as good as the others yo have written, I will quickly read it cover to cover. (and I don’t even enjoy reading) lol

  19. I’m a natural light photographer, but there are certain situations where flash is a must! Would love to read your new book and become more comfortable using flash. Thank you!

  20. Would love to get better at Flash photography, and I am sure your book would be perfect for that. I’ve always loved your teaching style and sense of humor!

  21. Hi Scott. I have the camera, two flashs and umbrellas! Now I need knowlegde abou how to use! And if I win this book, I can improve my English too. Greetings from Brazil!

  22. Never won anything from this online giveaways in years past but that wont hinder me from giving it another shot especially when its about a topic i consider very important to photographers. So beam it to me, Scottie! :-) Thanks!

  23. I am just getting into using flash in my photography. I would love a copy of your book. I recently enjoyed your seminar in Charlotte, NC. I have been learning a lot on KelbyOne.

  24. I have been eyeing this book ever since I knew about it. I don’t own a flash yet because I don’t know how to pick one but then since I don’t have one I’m worried I won’t be able to apply what you teach in the book. Thus a chicken or egg dilemma for me. I’d super appreciate it if I get a signed copy.

  25. Hi Scott, Love your photography and would love a copy of your new book. I have learned so much from you and KelbyOne over the last 8 years. Thank you!!!

  26. Hi Scott .. I’d love to win the book because I do NOT love my flash. Also I’m pretty sure I’m one of the hand raisers in the photo. Charlotte? Thanks!

  27. You are the man Scott Kelby. My photography and my understanding of photography has improved tenfold after becoming a member of KelbyOne. You and your talented staff are my go to pros when it comes to learning more about my craft! Thank you!

  28. Hi Scott – would be nice to win something here in Western Australia written by a solid and sharing instructor – due to 13 hr time zone, almost impossible to enter for anything on The Grid.

  29. Hi Scott,
I have really learned a lot from your Photoshop and Lightroom books and would really enjoy reading a copy of your Flash book.

    Wishing you a great 2018!

    G

  30. Hey Scott, would love to have the paper version of this book (especially a signed copy!), just purchased the electronic version about a week ago and really like what I’ve read so far! Keep up the great work!

  31. That awsome book is a need! And a signed one would be awsome, but i’ll think i’ll also buy one in swedisch when that comes out. I really hope it does Scott :)

  32. Scott, I would love to take a look at your book. Who knows, I might learn something,
But I will forward it to my daughter who is trying to make it as a photographer and who knows nothing about spray cheese.

  33. Hi Scott… I just started reading your new book and I really like it (I have the e-book version which I got for free from Rocky Nook because I’m a Kelby One member :) ). I would love to win a signed copy of your book :)

  34. Ohhh! I would love to have this signed flash- book so very much!! My main reason is: I want a signed book from you, my hero! The second reason is: I ordered it through Amazon in Austria beginning of October but they keep on sending me e-mails that I will be delayed. Meanwhile it will be March and I can’t wait!!!! I bought the e-book already but it’s not the same. I want this book and I want it with your signature. Much love from Vienna, Michaela

  35. I feel like I am one of the fortunate one’s to have come across your series of books and now follow your feeds and posts on Facebook. I was never a big reader until I found your series of books and truly love learning from all that you have to share. Your delivery is clear and easy to follow and I share the knowledge that I gain from you and help guide others to check out you work.

  36. Good Morning from central California!. Scott, I love your teaching style and your blogs, webcasts, and books have always been very helpful for the “average Joe” (I’m in that category). Thanks for making learning great photography so accessible. Have an awesome day!

  37. Yoh Scott dude. Amazon in the uk won’t have your new flash book available in mid January. Any chance of a wee signed copy from yourself ?

    Happy New Year

    Matthew

  38. Hi Scott, I’m new at this game, but I love my flash, only problem is I sometime get shadows.
I would love to know how to get rid of shadows from my subjects

  39. Scott, I need the book, I don’t use my flash (good job spending money, i know) because I am intimidated by it, I HATE IT, or I hate that I don’t know where to start to use it. Would love to have the book!

  40. Happy new year! I went to your LR seminar in Livonia, MI last year and you signed my original volume 1 of your series. Would really enjoy getting a copy of your latest book for my collection (and knowledge ?).

  41. Scott, I would love a copy of your Flash book! Your classes Just One Flash and Just One More Flash have helped me so much. This book would be another great tool to help improve my images while using flash. Thanks again for all you!

  42. I hate, loathe, despise, cringe at the thought of flash photography! I hope your book changes all of that. I totally have to buy this (unless I win it, of course). :)

  43. Sure was glad to see there wasn’t a bare legged old guy in a long over coat on the cover. That would be a different kind of flashing I guess. So with that in mind put me on the “I wanna book” list. Gotta love Kelbyone.

  44. Finally…someone had the bright idea of how to explain how to use a flash, in a way that is simple to understand. It figures it would be you, Scott.

  45. Hi Scott, I dropped enough hints with my family for this as a Christmas present but no luck – plenty of socks though! So fingers crossed now. Many thanks.

  46. Hey Scott! (Almost) everything I know about photography I learned from your books and KelbyOne. I would love to get my hands on this book and finally start learning what to do with the flash I’ve had for 5 years!

  47. Hey Scott, you inspire me. Love your work and flash photography scares me. So your book would be more than welcome to help me understand flash light. All the best, your biggest fan from Belgium ?

  48. I love learning by book. And I have a ton of books. But it seems that I learn better with Scott Kelby’s books the most. After attending two Live seminars and buying as many books as I can there I think I’d do well with “The Flash Book”.
Scott Kelby did not pay me to say any of that.

  49. Hey Scott Id love the Flash book. I have my flash sitting in my camera bag and I never use it why cause I dont like the results. The Flashbook would be a great addition to my Scott Kelby collection of books.

  50. Hey Scott. Great timing with this book. I’m trying to master flash. It’s my last frontier. I’ve used your books on Lightroom and Photoshop to help me with post production, so I’m confident your new book will help me with lighting. Good luck with sales. Look forward to seeing your next NFL photography vid.

  51. Scott, I have purchased most of your books over the years. They have been very user friendly and I rely on them. Thanks for your efforts in educating your fans to be better photographers and to improve our creative skills. Looking forward to reading your newest book.

  52. Offering the book as a freebie have definitely driven a bunch of comments, 270 as I write this. To all those reading the blog and post, stay safe and warm in the current cold spell.

  53. Scott, 9 things you’ll wish you had known before reading this comment……Actually, just one: The Flash Book would look great on my shelf next to The Digital Photography Book, Parts 1-4 and Photo Recipes! Comment: Love your work, Kelbyone, The Grid and PhotoshopWorld! All have helped me launch and grow my business. Thank you!

  54. I have most of your books and find them very helpful and I like the way you make them fun to read.. I mainly like photography and Photoshop so a flash book would be great…if I don’t win well Barnes & Noble here I come….

  55. Hi Scott
I watched both flash classes (just one flash and one more flash) at Kelbyone, bought a flash and a trigger and this book will complete my training. thanks.

  56. Scott, you’re right about the struggle most of us have with flashes, and I’d love to get a copy of the book. It seems my flash has a mind of its own when it comes to covering events, to the point where I’d rather shoot high ISOs with no flash at all. I’m betting that book will teach me tricks I would not learn otherwise.

  57. Hi Scott, I’m a big fan of you and your books.
I started photography with your very first “The digital photography book”. And I would love to add this one too my collection of your books ?

  58. Hello Scott
This is my comment to participate.
I have a question about the book. Will there be an Spanish Version “Flash Book” in the future?

May the light be with you in 2018 (this is easy with a flash ;-) ), Happy New Year.

  59. Scott, would love your book. Just started out on my own doing wedding photography and this would help fill in the blanks to some questions.. keep up the awesome work…

  60. I attended one of your fantastic lighting seminars in London, UK a few years back. I would love to have this book while I wait for your next visit over here.

  61. Hi Scott! Please enter me in the drawing for your Flash book. I have enjoyed your workshops, and love your teaching style. If I don’t win, I’ll just have to go buy the book. Loved your “pose it, light it, shoot it” book. Have tried several of those set ups.

  62. Hello there! I have to admit I have never had one of your books before! I am always trying to learn new things so even if I don’t win I think I will buy it. :-)

  63. Scott-I’ve had a speedlite for maybe 6 years or more and I NEVER use it because I just don’t get it. I need a flash buddy that I can spend time with and stay on it till I’m really comfortable on when and how to use it. Your books are the closest thing to that. I’d love to win it, but I’m gonna buy it if I don’t. So-never mind ??

  64. It looks like this book is going to be another “must have” book for photographers. Keep up the good work. You make it easy for those of us that don’t have the time to learn by trial and error!

  65. Hola Scott.

  66. Being new to photography flash scares me! I’d love to have your new book to add to my collection of your other books! They are an invaluable resource to me and I my membership to your site with its amazing videos has helped me so much. I can’t wait to read your new book!

  67. Hi!

Here‘s a happy member – just signed up for the third year and looking forward to it. It is no doubt never boring.
    Thanks for your efforts.

    Jennifer

  68. Scott I would just love to win your new book. I have two flashes that I am really needing some guidance on using. I have four of your other books that I have picked up during your last two conferences and have learned so much from each of them. I am sure this will be awesome too. OH PLEASE PICK ME!

  69. Hi Scott,
First, Happy New Year to you and yours!

Second, would it be possible for you to detail the current gear you use in your editing environment and in your complete backup strategy? Still with Synology? Back to drobo? Model numbers? Drive brand(s) and sizes? Cloud backup? Offsite? Thinking about upgrading my drobo but would love your thoughts.

Third, thanks for putting out this flash book. Looks great!

  70. Thanks for a chance to add this book to my library (without fighting the crowds for it at my local bookstore). So when are you coming back to Kansas City?

  71. Hi Scott,
I’ve been following you for a while, would really like to have a copy of the book, as beggineer i’m still struggling to find how flash works, i believe this book would help me find answers what i’m looking for.

    Regards,
    Suresh

  72. Happy New Year Scott.
Would love to win the book since I have one flash that is terribly underutilized, and this just might get me on the learning curve hump.

  73. Scott, I’m hoping this is a godsend! Half the time, I can’t even get my flash to fire! I’m totally in the dark (see what I did there?!?) Loved you in Detroit! Come back & visit us soon!

      1. Thank you so much!!! I’m so excited!!! I sent you an email with my address. Have a great day!!!

  74. Scott, my copies of so many of your other books are calling out- they want a signed copy of your latest book to join their ranks. So please pick me for a free signed copy of your latest: The Flash Book. TIA.

  75. Hi Scott, never use my flash as i have always hated the results I got with it. I’d love to add your book to my (growing) Kelby collection and learn from it.

  76. Flash aaaaahhhhhh! Well my aaaaahhhhh is meant in a different way to Freddie Mercury’s…..yes please I’d love another one of your awesomeness books!

  77. love love all Scott Kelby books. I have some and love how simply easy to read and use. Sure would loveeee to win this flash book for flash has always been hard for me!! Always blow out folks faces it seems for can’t blend the light with ambient light. I need a LOT of help!!!

    1. Congratulations! You were one of the lucky winners of Scott’s THE FLASH BOOK. Please email jeannej@kelbyone your mailing address and a copy will be mailed to you today.

  78. I need that book. Let me tell you why: Scotty last year I was at Hollywood Studios in Orlando and saw you and – My guess – your sons in line to go at the Toy Story attraction as I was leaving with my sons. I took a picture of you with the idea of sharing in one of your social media feeds, but the shot came out underexposed… if I only knew hiw to use my flash you wlukd be a little bit more famous than you are! I hooe you send ne the book.

  79. Hello Scott. Why not send a copy of your book up North to Quebec ?? I would love to get this book. I’ve read many of your books and always found them to be very good. I’m sure this one is also quite good.
