It’s Free Stuff Thursday!

Scott Kelby on the Canon 7D Mark II
First sports photographer Peter Read Miller shared his thoughts on the new 7D Mark II, then wildlife photographer Adam Jones shared his thoughts. Now Scott Kelby shares why he thinks this camera is a game changer! Between the incredible high ISO quality, 10fps frame rate, autofocus system, and affordability, this camera allows photographers to shoot things that they previously would’ve needed a more expensive body (and much larger budget) to shoot.

The Canon 7D Mark II is now shipping, so if this camera is one you want to add to your camera bag, you can order it now from B&H Photo!

  1. Hi Scott and Brad, I would love to join you in Ft. Lauderdale! It is the day before my wedding anniversary and I can’t think of a better way to spend the day before one of my favorite days of the year.

  2. I would be very interested in Jay Maisel’s book. My experience and understanding of street photography is severely lacking—and I couldn’t think of a better way to augment my knowledge than through Jay’s book.

  3. I don’t know anything about video production – zip. What gear (camera / lenses) is a piece like the 7D overview shot with, and which software(s) is used to fully edit it ?

  4. No doubt this book will become a staple on every serious photog’s bookshelf. Can’t wait to take a look at the sample chapter this evening!

  5. If you read today’s report on DXOMark.com the EOS 7D MK ll low ISO’s performance gets below par scores and only a sensor score of 70 well below the class leading Nikon 810.

  7. What I’d love to see is The Grid appear on kelbytv.com before it appears on Youtube. Shouldn’t there be a benefit of being a paying member? Waiting for my preordered copy of Jay’s book to appear, while still in shock by Matt’s move to the rain forest.
