Adobe Sneak Peek of RAW Processing on Tablet
Yesterday on The Grid, Scott and Matt were joined by Tom Hogarty from Adobe, who gave us a sneak peek of processing RAW photos on a tablet! Using a prototype version of a possibly upcoming app on his iPad 2, he demonstrated the ability to edit RAW photos using Lightroom-like capabilities such as Highlights, Shadows, Exposure, Contrast, and more. He also discussed cloud synchronization with the edits made on tablets back to your computer. Careful not to say anything concrete, he also mentioned that he would like to see the ability to mark picks and rejects or set other categories in the app.

There were also a ton of giveaways, including copies of Lightroom, so check out the show above for more info on how to win!

That’s it for today. If you’re one of the winners, we’ll be in touch soon!

  1. Please pass on any for-the-public info you get from Tom. If was great seeing all the msgs expressing the same opinions I have on Adobe’s direction and pricing. The $20 per month for PS Cloud – 1 product was interesting ==> now can they toss in LR or at least promise to TRY to continue intermediate releases? Calculator out: $240 PS Cloud per yr vs. upgrade for $179-200, life cycle of releases 18-24 months. Still not sure the newest features are worth the add’l cost, but if you threw in LR….

    1. I agree … Mr. Hogarty offered little to alleviate my concerns … both with future timely development and the new mandatory upgrade/subscription policies …

  2. I am excited about winning the Joe McNally’s books last week but have not heard anything back yet. I could be just impatient in the excitement.

    1. I passed your info on to Joe’s studio, so they’ll be in touch. He’s been on the road quite a bit, so I’m guessing he hasn’t had a chance to sign the books yet.

  3. I would love a chance to win Photoshop CS6 for Photographers with RC Concepcion
May 10 – Salt Lake City, UT. This would be for my daughter (lives in Utah) who is graduating from High school this month, this would blow her mind to be able to go see RC. Fingers crossed :) As always keep up the outstanding work, great job guys.

  4. I would LOVE to win a copy of the book. The book would be a great college graduate gift for myself. Cool!! Thanks Mr. Kelby! CHEERS!!!

  5. I would love to win Scott Kelby “The Shoot Like A Pro” Tour in Seattle, WA, May 23. I attended his ” Light It, Shoot It ” Tour last year. It’s awesome !
Thank your for giving away the free stuff. :)
