On my way back from Adobe HQ

Hi gang: Greetings from Seat 34D. :)

As I write this I’m on a red-eye Delta flight back from a trip to Adobe’s headquarters out in San Jose, California. We had a bunch of fantastic meetings while we were out there (I think we met with almost every product team out here—we caught up with some old friends, and made some new ones, too). Totally awesome trip, but I’m absolutely beat and sadly i don’t have much of a post for you tonight, but I will have some stuff on Monday.

Here’s wishing you a great weekend and we’ll see you back here on Monday. :)

Best,

-Standby Coach Passenger Kelby

  1. I’m constantly amazed that you can write at such a late hour — postponed posts I dig, but these from airport lounges, and in flight! Congratulations.

Presumably you use a dedicated iPad app to write them, if so would you share which?

      1. Hi Jesse:
This App isn’t from Kelby Training, it’s from my book Publisher Peachpit Press. I’ve already contacted them about the issues, and I’m sure they will be on it immediately with an update to fix the bug some people are experience. So sorry for the problems—-I’ll let you know as soon as I hear anything (ya know, except if I’m traveling). ;-)

  2. Hello Standby Coach Passenger Kelby – Seat 34D

Sounds very Intersting and I’m looking forwared to Monday.
Have a nice relaxing Weekend (I know I won’t, we are moving)
    Greetings from Switzerland

  3. Hey Scott,
I’m glad to get back to reading your blog. A week vacation for me that ended last Sunday, and then a Stomach bug to get through while beginning the summer semester is more than I wanted to tackle.
You have a great weekend. I’ll try my best to get rested this weekend if you do, Deal? ;)
    See ya,
    Mike
PS, I get to rest tomorrow morning before work shooting a triathalon sprint here at my college Oklahoma City Community College. (Shooting to me is almost the same as rest)

    1. My actual flight wasn’t until tomorrow, but we wanted to come home early so we went to the airport hoping to get a last minute stand-by seat. In those cases, you get what you get. :)

      1. Hmm, isn’t your wife a pilot? It’s probably time for a company jet…you’ll always have a great seat! And, your seminar team can use it to provide better service for KelbyTraining LIVE attendees! :)

  4. Scott:

Hope you didn’t have a crying baby across the aisle from you! Gotta love those red-eye flights. Have a great weekend and get some sleep! :)

    –John

  5. Bummer! I’m just over the hill from from Adobe HQ, and you didn’t stop by to say hi! So close, yet so far! :(

Just kidding! Mad props for your continually tireless efforts!

  6. I thought folks are not allowed to use electronic devices during flight?!?! What devotion you have to photog stuff, risking not only your life but the lives of the others in flight, all for us! We are not worthy :-). Seriously, thanks for all your hard work.

    1. You should actually take a flight some time—it’s fun. You’re not allowed to use electronic devices during takeoff and landing only. Once you’re above 10,000 feet, you can use your laptops and so on—you just can’t make cellular calls. That’s why they offer in- flight Internet. :)

      1. ‘rodent’ is my trail name, derived from the Windows 98 spell check that always wanted to replace my first name, Rodney, with rodent.

  7. Scott, sounds like you did better than Bob Krist did the other day. How much did Delta charge you for your baggage, $2,800.00? LOL, but it wasn’t funny to our troops.

  8. Don’t wear yourself out too much. I just signed up for the Light It. Shoot It. Retouch It. LIVE! in Orlando this August.
FYI: I am a willing recipient to have some of your DNA injected in me in the first step of a Kelby Klone.
