Hi Gang: First, there’s a BIG very cool announcement for KelbyOne members today on “The Grid” (my weekly talk show about photography), and you don’t want to miss it. Plus, my very, very special guest is none other than Kalebra Kelby herself.
Lots to share today on “The Grid” – our topic is “How to become a better photographer in 2017”. That’s at 4pm ET (http://kelbytv.com/thegrid).
OK, on to our Photoshop Down & Dirty Trick (it’s quick, easy and pretty fun, too! Plus, it doesn’t use the ol’ Drop Shadow Layer Style, which would make it look like it’s just floating in space).
Hope you found that helpful (and down. and dirty). ;-)
Don’t forget “The Grid” today at 4pm – we’ll be announcing one of the coolest things we’ve ever done for our members.
See you then!
–Scott
Scott,
Let me be the first to congratulate you that you finally managed to start the machine turning led to gold that Leonardo DaVinci left in your basement and thank you for deciding to bring every single KelbyOne member by a private jet to PSW in April – with a free entry, accommodation and Canon 5DmarkIV (though – can I have an option on Nikon D900 (or equivalent when they decide to release it) please? I have a lot of Nikon glass that I’m quite happy with you know…). Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Oops – I hope I didn’t spoil the surprise but this conversation is just between us – right?
Also – thank you very much for all the other cool things you did for KelbyOne members at the end of last year. They really make the membership look like a bargain of the century.
Finally – thanks for the “Tight Spot” and “Casting Shadows” tricks of course. Looking forward to today’s show.
With kind regards
PiotrT-well… you know…
Hey, Piotr from some unknown place. LOL!! ;-) Thanks for the hilarious note! (you are so going to dig the news btw), and you’re very welcome for the tips. Glad to have you as a KelbyOne member heading into 2017 (’bout time, Piotr). ;-)
That was a cool shadow trick! Sufficiently down & dirty, as well.
I’m looking forward to the Grid today, and not just for the big announcement (we get MORE with our membership???), but to see Kalebra on there again. She always makes the episode special with her opinions and insights. Can she talk about becoming a better iPhone photographer in 2017? I bet a lot of people would love some tips from her!
See you at 4 PM!
–John
You are going to so dig today’s announcement. It is really cool (I revealed it to the entire staff this morning and every one was really psyched). :)
Scott, I upgraded to Photoshop 2017 cc on a new macBook Pro and Nik
will not work at all. How to I get the Nik Colletion to work?
ken
so nice to see someone cast shadows and not shade on the internet…. ;)
Cool steps.
