Thanks to the nearly 800 photographers who came out to spend the day with me in Washington DC yesterday for my “Photoshop CS4 for Digital Photographers Tour.”
The DC crowd is just absolutely a blast to present to, and I had such a fun time teaching the class, and meeting lots of new people. Jeff Revell stopped by the seminar, as did Rob from Towner Jones photography (Got an update from Rob on the final numbers for the Worldwide PhotoWalk T-Shirts sales that he coordinated, and it’s amazing—$7,000+ raised for the Springs of Hope Orphanage just from those t-shirt sales).
Anyway, I had such a wonderful time, and I hope you guys did, too. Thanks for hospitality and hope to see you guys again soon!
800 people…now that’s one heck of a seminar…nice one.
Great to hear that the T-Shirts raised over $7000 and nice too, to know that a contribution towards it came from the Guildford, UK Photo Walk.
All the best to you Scott,
Glyn
I cant say it often enough….. i am jealous (800 people – wow)
Must be amazing with so many photoshop freaks
Greets Calvin (whos teaching only 180 people*g*)
Thanks for the great seminar, Scott. It was great catching up with you. Hope we have an even better year this year for SOH. All the best, R
Scott: 800 folks is wonderful. Any chance of a Lightroom seminar in DC? I find I spend 10x more time in there than in photoshop these days.
Hey Scott,
Thanks for the awesome seminar. I’ve been a NAPP member for over a decade, so it was a real pleasure to finally meet you! This seminar was everything I had hoped – funny, entertaining, and loaded with good tips. Your enthusiasm really kept the crowd engaged – not an easy feat considering the stunning number of attendees!
Thanks for all you do at NAPP, on this blog, an in your video and live training. You are a true asset to the photographic community.
Best regards,
Sterling
Hi Scott,
Thanks for the amazing seminar! I have learned so much from your photography books, but the conference took it a step further! I learned so much especially about the power of camera raw. I was wondering if there is a way to get some of the sample raw/jpeg files that you used for the demos, so I could practice the techniques along with the seminar book.
Thanks so much,
Steve
Scott,
Just wanted to thank you for an amazing seminar! Just within the first hour I learned more then I thought was possible. It was great to learn how many things that I did in Photoshop can be done in Raw.
Your sense of humor made the seminar even more enjoyable, I have been to other types on seminars and they just went with the lesson and no real sense of personalization.
Hope you had a safe trip home and I look forward to another seminar about CS5, when it is released.
Thank you so much

Hey Scott,
Good seeing you again. I loved the seminar and look forward to applying what I learned.
Take care,
Randy
Thanks, Scott, lots of reviewing how to’s, as well a new ideas on how to improve. You are terrific. As a former professor (not photography, but rather couples therapy), I appreciate your style, your ability to clearly explain things, your making us laugh, sometimes with you and others (you plan this, I know) at you!
Sending all best! When will we know about 2010 Photowalk? We went last year to Livorno, Italy!
What a fantastic seminar. I learned so much about using Photshop Raw. You kept everything lively and interesting.
Thank you,

Looks and sounds like everyone had a great day.
Glad to hear that the shirt sale raised so much money, makes me proud to wear mine.
Looking forward to seeing Dave Cross on Friday in LA
Actually, I’m more jealous at the attendee’s… Since I live in the Netherlands it isn’t that easy for me to attend a seminar :(.
Also, Scott, what do you think of those Eye-Fi Wireless Memory Cards, the ones who send your photo’s to your computer over Wi-Fi? I think they’re pretty cool (and I’m most likely going to buy one), but I’d like to hear your opinion…

Hi Scott,
I am so sorry I wasn’t there. I am sure that it was wonderful and I hope to make it to your next one.
Take care,
Stacie
Great job Scott. Lots of new ways to use Photoshop. I kept thinking during the whole seminar “WOW, Why didn’t I think of that.”
Thanks,
Bill Conway
