I am absolutely delighted to announce that through our “Photoshop Guys Guitar Raffle” you guys raised more than the $2,000 needed to get both of the vans back in working order for the Springs of Hope Orphanage in Kenya. How cool is that!!!!
The raffle ticket sales were $1,575, plus our Spiderlite friends at FJ Wescott & Company donated $100 toward the repair, and my wonderful friend and fellow photographer Janine kicked in $500 to take us over the top, raising a total of $2,175 for the Orphanage.
Now, it’s time to reveal our winner for the autographed guitar. The winner, picked at random from all the raffle ticket holders, is:
Marty Ginter of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania
Congrats to Marty (we’ll be shipping you the guitar soon!).
My heartfelt thanks to everyone who kicked in and bought a raffle ticket, and even though you may not have won the guitar, you won because by buying that ticket you helped orphaned kids on the other side of the world who were counting on you to be there for them….and you were. :)
I’m continually amazed and proud of the people who read this blog, and who over these past few years, through their boundless generosity, have helped transform an empty plot of land in Nakuru, Kenya, into a place which every single day provides food, education, hugs, love, and puts a roof over the heads of some truly wonderful (and totally adorable) young children. Ya did good, gang!
YAHOOO go blog readers!
Congratulations Marty :) ….
And thanks again my dear Scott.
Best wishes from depth of my Heart :)
God bless you

awesome.. glad to hear everything worked out….
Scott, thank you for providing the vehicle for all of us to help out Springs of Hope. With all the bad news out these days it is always nice to read a story with a happy ending, and even better since we all got to participate in making it. Congrats to Marty!

That’s great to hear. Congrats to Marty! It’s nice to be able to help out others when you have the opportunity.
The Kelbytraing app not working guys. Both my Iphone & Ipad tell me that the certificate for this server is invalid. Also if you click Renew it comes up with page no longer exist.
I’m happy for Marty!
Scott: what’s with the NAPP website? It hasn’t been working for days!
Refresh your bowser’s cache and it will work—instructions are on the member log-in page. Major updates happening behind the scenes.
New Look for KelbyTraining!
Love it!
I’m glad it all worked out well for Springs of Hope.
I was there in Nakuru less than a month back. It is a wonderful place just like the rest of Kenya.
Hi Scott. Wow, what a surprise when I read your blog today. I just got back from a week in Canada ( no web access) and was catching up on your blog when I read about the great news for the Springs of Hope. But when I saw that I had won the guitar I just about fell off my chair. I am glad I could help in a small way and that the orphanage vans are back in running condition. Scott thank you for keeping us informed about the Springs of Hope. And yes Ken, I’m going to hang it on my wall. Thanks everyone for the congrats.
Marty
Great to see how you are making a difference in the lives of those in need.
