It’s Free Stuff Thursday!

What’s Happening At CES 2014?
If you haven’t been able to keep up with all the new gear announcements coming out of CES 2014, Larry Becker and Mia McCormick have you covered! They’re at the event checking out the new gadgets every day and getting hands-on previews from Canon, Sony, Nikon, Sigma, Panasonic, and more. You can start with the Canon Powershot Cameras in the video above, and head over to our YouTube channel to check out the rest. More videos are being added throughout the conference, so keep checking back throughout the event!

This will be a learning frenzy with loads of tips and tricks on lighting, coaching the models, getting the right expression, natural light, strobes, mixing light sources, telling a story, building a brand, retouching and much much more.

  1. Would love to win one of the KelbyOne subscriptions!
Trust the site will perform better in the comming days ;-)

Thanks for all the instructions and inspiration! Don’t know if I would have stuck to photography without you guys!

  2. I’ve been a fan of Scott Kelby’s teaching magic ever since the Photoshop channels book (which I loved) up to the latest book on Photoshop for lightroom users …. and I just want to keep on learnin’ the Scott way! Quick & easy! Ciao from Rome!

  3. I would like to win the KelbyOne membership. Already a member, but at the higher renewal rate, so winning would take some of the sting out of being on the wrong side of multi-tiered pricing.

  4. Kelby one would be a life changer. I really appreciate the work you do for educating people in photography and yesterday’s grid took all the tips to another level. Thank you. Petr

  5. Morning! I would LOVE a free year of KelbyOne. I am setting some big goals for myself this year and the training courses would be invaluable in accomplishing them.

  6. Every Year it’s the same
And I know I’m to Blame
    I’m a loser
    no chance to win
    Leaves start fallin’
    Come Down is callin’
    Loneliness starts settin’ in

But I’ve won, yes I’ve won
    And I can see
a one year of Kelbyone subscription for me
    Oh man it’s free
    Now I can be
    I have won!!!

  7. Thought the ad campaign leading up to the announcement was clever and well done… it’s almost like you know how to use Photoshop to make stuff. PS – hook me up with the 1 year free so I can make stuff too.

  8. I was originally a NAPP member and then moved on to a Kelby Training subscriber. Now that they merged the two, I regret canceling my NAPP membership! I canceled due to the lack of HDSLR training videos but it sounds like they will be adding more of that in 2014. Good luck to KelbyOne!

  9. Kelby Training has been the single most beneficial investment to my photography, and I’m just now at the point where NAPP would be a real benefit to me as well. Imagine my delight to discover that they are now one. I can’t tell you how much I would LOVE a free one-year membership to KelbyOne!

  10. Would love to Scott’s Atlanta seminar……but a year of Kelbyone would be just in time for my renewal. Either way keep up all the cool things you are doing.

  11. As the owner of a bunch of Scott’s great books and a follower of this blog for years, I’d love to be a “winner” of a membership to KelbyOne! Rock on, Scott!

  12. What a great line-up of Free Stuff Thursday giveaways! Kelby training or Frank Doorhof’s book sure do pull ’em in. Look at all the comments. I’ll keep my fingers crossed.

To paraphrase Princess Leia, “Help me KelbyOne, you’re my only hope.”

  13. Would love to receive a free year of KelbyOne, I Missed out on a chance to go to one of his classes, I was so upset but this would really makeup for that!

  14. After having to let my NAPP membership lapse not too long ago due to financial reasons (seriously, could the timing have been any worse after this announcement??), I would love to have a free year of KelbyOne!!

  15. Scott, I won a ticket on your December 29 post but have not received any correspondence so please sign me up for a chance to win a ticket to Covington KY workshop….thanks

  16. It seems like CES is all about 4k this year, but TV hasn’t even come close to fully adopting HD yet! I can imagine the not-so-distant conversation with my wife – No, you’re watching the crappy HD feed, now you have to go to channel 42,356,783,456,345 to get the 4k feed!

  17. We are all over the world! I simply cannot join all the events in USA, but even living far, far away from there I’ve been a happy user of Kelby Training for more then a year, happy to meet so many great masters at that time. I thought that one day I’ll be happy to join NAPP, and… here I am! Thank you for this Scott! So I just say – great decision, and now I’ll could recomend KelbyOne even more ,
We’re watching, and enjoing! The team is big, regards from Brussels, Belgium! (my first comment ever here :)

  18. I’m already a member of KelbyOne because I’m a current member of NAPP and Kelby Training. However, I did want to tell you Scott, even though I know Brad is responsible for Free Thursdays and you, Scott may not read this, that I really like “Photoshop for Lightroom Users”. It’s just what I needed. Hey, I’ve even learned stuff in Chapters 1 & 2 even though I’ve been using Lightroom for several years now. Great Job and Thanks!
    Bill Araujo

  19. A year of KelbyOne? That’s one of the most amazing prizes I’ve see offered. It will be a nice

prize for someone. Maybe I’ll be the lucky one.

  20. I think this Kelby One will save money over getting the two separate subscriptions. wonder how I reconcile my two different start dates with NAPP and Kelby Training?

  21. To win a year of KelbyOne would make my year a glorious one, but should I fail to undertake, that which my life so much better would make, I shall not cry or grumble so, for too much from this blog I know, that learning here will always be, my number one priority ;)…. A little Irish Limerick ;))))

  22. I’d love to win a one-year subscription to KelbyOne. The other stuff is great, but doesn’t work for my schedule. So just an entry into the drawing for the subscription, please!
