Lightroom 5 is now shipping — and to celebrate; one week from today you’re invited to come join me, Julieanne Kost and Katrin Eismann for B&H Photo’s “Lightroom Digital Photography Summit”
It’s a FREE, all-day learning event at the Javits Center, coming up on Monday, June 17th and if you’re in the New York area, you gotta come down (you’ll have loads of fun and you’ll learn a bunch).
I’ll be showing some of my favorite Lightroom tips; I’m doing a live shoot (then handing off the images to Julieanne and Katrin to retouch and finish), plus a lot more.
Seating is limited (and it’s almost already sold out in advance), so grab your seat at “The Summit” right here.
Hope you can join us. See you in New York next week!

B&H says the release date is 6/13. But the distressing part is the lack of sync. No news about a CC bundle of Photoshop and Lightroom to offer as a purchasing option. So if you jump on LR5 and its great enhancements you’ll already own part of an IF bundle. Arghhh! If you are a NAPP member check for a possible Adobe discount b4 you jump on LR5.
LR 5 has been released; you do get discount for LR 5 stand alone.
Hello Scott, I am in Germany and will return in July (Philly) after 25 years. My Evernote “Must Do List” has on it, eat an original Philly Cheesesteak and attend Scott and Matt events. I will miss this one. Take care and have a good time.
ps. You can also download the LR5 trial software to give it a feel and hope for some better marketing news later.
pps. LR5 Trial will install over LR5 Beta but will preserve all plugins and WIP. Note like LR4 only for W7 w/Svcpak1 /W8. Also fixes the “Edit In” search.
Anyone using LrTimelapse you might want to hold before upgrading if you need to process any. Gunther in Germany in Germany is aware of the issue and working on the fix now.
I’m going to try moving the video files in preset folders and see if it works.
Surprised no announcement of release on NAPP member website, as of 5 minutes ago.
Phase one is offering discounts for Capture one http://www.phaseone.com/en/Onl…
After the Creative Cloud debacle there is no way I’m investing my money on software that could become rent only in the future!
