My Mother’s Day Project for CocaCola

Hi gang: I recently did three portrait shoots for the Coca Cola company and their “Journeys” project to celebrate Mother’s Day.

My idea was to feature three very special mom’s and to make a portrait of them in their home holding one of their most memorable Mother’s Day gifts, along with the person who gave them such a memorable gift, and the story behind it.

If you have a moment, here’s the link.

Here’s wishing all the awesome mom’s out there a wonderful Mother’s day this Sunday. :)

Best,

-Scott

  1. After my dad died unexpectedly in 1993 my mom was distraught for 7 years. Then she met my now step dad Bob who has become all of us kids dad, a great guy! Now he has stage 4 cancer and not doing well, I would like for my mom (and Bob) just to get a little good news and encouragement for Mother’s Day.
Mothers Day is one of the most important holidays!

  2. Scott, terrific pictures and a wonderful essay. I’d love to have seen Kalebra’s “100 reasons” list!

My Dad passed away from a brain tumor when he was 47, leaving my Mom to raise me by herself. I was three years old. She had to overcome so many obstacles in her life, but she persevered through them all, and raised me to become the man I am today. 50 years later, she’s still the one I look up to and ask for advice at times. She’ll be 94 next Saturday, and will be surrounded by her kids, grand kids and great-grand kids. I never wrote a list of reasons why I think she’s the best Mom….it would probably take me another 50 years!

Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful weekend.
