Hi gang: I recently did three portrait shoots for the Coca Cola company and their “Journeys” project to celebrate Mother’s Day.
My idea was to feature three very special mom’s and to make a portrait of them in their home holding one of their most memorable Mother’s Day gifts, along with the person who gave them such a memorable gift, and the story behind it.
If you have a moment, here’s the link.
Here’s wishing all the awesome mom’s out there a wonderful Mother’s day this Sunday. :)
Best,
-Scott
After my dad died unexpectedly in 1993 my mom was distraught for 7 years. Then she met my now step dad Bob who has become all of us kids dad, a great guy! Now he has stage 4 cancer and not doing well, I would like for my mom (and Bob) just to get a little good news and encouragement for Mother’s Day.
Mothers Day is one of the most important holidays!
Prayers go out to your step-dad, Ken!
More prayers on the way, Ken.
Thanks guys
Scott, terrific pictures and a wonderful essay. I’d love to have seen Kalebra’s “100 reasons” list!
My Dad passed away from a brain tumor when he was 47, leaving my Mom to raise me by herself. I was three years old. She had to overcome so many obstacles in her life, but she persevered through them all, and raised me to become the man I am today. 50 years later, she’s still the one I look up to and ask for advice at times. She’ll be 94 next Saturday, and will be surrounded by her kids, grand kids and great-grand kids. I never wrote a list of reasons why I think she’s the best Mom….it would probably take me another 50 years!
Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful weekend.

You are very blessed John, and so is she. :)
I get the following error message when following your link:
Something Went Wrong
Sorry, there was a problem with this link: http://bit.ly/1nocFYC
You can now continue to this website, or go back to the page you were on before.
Remember, only follow links from sources you trust.
That link even works from right here in the comments. Try it again — it seems to be working fine.
I get the same error message when following your link: Something Went Wrong, etc.
I just re-checked the link and it seems to be working. I added an extra space between the colon and the link — see if that helps. :)
Scott:
I had the same problem as the others with that link. It wants to route you through Facebook, and it looks like Facebook is questioning the link. I’ve seen this before, (I don’t know where. Maybe here once before) so I just clicked “continue” to go to the Coca-Cola website. Try this direct link….

My wife’s family is related to the people who started Coke, I’m still looking for a check :)
