    1. Great collection there, Alan! The behind-the-scenes stuff is a great way to see what a massive production this event really is. Everyone at NAPP does an outstanding job at making it look so easy.

      See you soon… can’t wait to \m/ \m/ again!

  1. That picture of the crowd during the keynote makes me appreciate how many are there! The odds are I’m going to get a seat in the back.

Scott–I’m going to need to borrow your 300mm 2.8 if I’m going to get any decent shots. Don’t worry, I’ll bring the tele-extender.

  2. Hey Scott,
where can I hear you playing guitar? Didn´t find anything on youtube (except PSW10 opening)
How many guitars do you own and which do you like more? Strat or Tele or …?

  3. When PSWs used to take place I would look on from UK enviously and think “I wish I could go one day”
That one day came last year after I became UK NAPP Evangelist and decided to save up and head on out.
One of the best investments in your career if you get to go – trust me, you can’t begin to imagine the benefits and fun you’ll have.
Sadly I can’t make it this year and I’m really going to look on enviously in a couple of weeks because now i know how good it actually is.
If you can afford it then go, if you can’t then sell that expensive glass you got recently but hid the fact from your other half buy smuggling it into your kit, go, enjoy and then buy that glass again when you are home – and use your NAPP discounts to do so, maybe B&H ;)

    HERE’S MY 2010 REVIEW

  4. Totally echo Dave’s comments above; PSW is just the most incredible experience and one not to be missed if you’re looking to move forward. Where else can you get to learn from some of the best in the world over a 4 day stretch, have such fun and come away totally fired up???

These photos have so reminded of good times and I seriously cannot wait to be joining you all again soon.

    Cheers,
    Glyn

  5. ….., But this is one of my most memorable shots—meeting Ali Rajabi, an Iranian Photoshop expert and educator, who was able to come to Photoshop World last year ……

    My dear Scott,

    Meeting you,

It was one of my most memorable MOMENTS in my LIFE ….. Hope to see you SOON :)

    PSW is the UNBELIEVABLE …..

    1. Matt:

I can imagine what you might say if Scott told you that you had to go on-stage in Orlando wearing a dress because of this year’s theme. There are worse things than dancing in front of people! :D

      –John

  6. Scott:

Wow, just wow….! These pictures really got me pumped up to go to PSW Orlando. So glad I have the opportunity to go. I had to laugh at Justin’s comment above about sitting way at the back for the Keynote. I’ll probably be right next to him! Looks like you need to get in line at about 4 AM! :D

I know I’ll have a blast no matter where I am sitting, though. The toughest part for me was picking the classes to go to…so many great instructors and great topics. Can’t wait for the 29th to come! Oh, and I’ll stop by and say “hi” to you in Boston on the 24th, too!

    –John

  7. For better or worse, I’m a skeptical person. Before I attended a Photoshop World, I’d read a post like this and think, “it can’t be that great.” Then I went to the one in Vegas in ’09. It was really cool. Then I went to the one in Orlando in 2010….and then again in Vegas that fall. Now I’m scheduled for Orlando again this month.

I’m spending most of my vacation time going to Photoshop World because, you know, it really is a cool experience. I learn a lot, I have a lot of fun, but I think that’s due to the people I meet there. Not just the staff, but the participants as well. It’s a good experience because everyone makes it great. I honestly can’t think of anything else that compares. Photoshop World really is a great experience and I come away with knowledge and friends that I didn’t have before I arrived – every time.

  8. Scott,

Watch out, Burning Man ends one day before PhotoshopWorld this year and I’ve already got my tickets for the event! A mohawk wouldn’t be original the second time around. Maybe I’ll just show up with neon pink hair this time around ;-?

    -Ben

  9. thanks a lot scott. i was already psyched about my first PSW experience this year, and now even more. how the heck am i supposed to stay focused at work for the next two weeks..?!?

i’m meeting up at PSW with a good photography friend and we’re taking a road trip the following weekend to go shooting. the tentative plan is to head up the east coast to st. augustine and then hit savannah, but still exploring options. anyone else from florida have any suggestions? thanks!
