Whoo Hoo! What an Awesome Photo Walk Saturday!!! :)

Good morning, everybody from absolutely beautiful Hallstatt, Austria (we came here after my Photo Walk in wonderful Innsbruck, but tomorrow we’re heading out to Bled, Slovenia for the day, and then back here for another night, and then we head back to Munich, and then home. Whew!).

Here’s the group shot from my Innsbruck walk on Saturday as part of the Worldwide Photo Walk. We had such a great group of people (virtually none actually from Innsbruck -everybody pretty much came from somewhere else – either somewhere else in Austria or Italy or Germany). Plus, I was blessed to have my brother Jeff with me, and some of my dear friends in a group we call “Team Epic” all with me for the walk, including Fernando “Chicky Nando” Santos, Erik “RocketMan” Kuna, Peter Treadway, Dave “Travel Tuesdays with Dave” Williams, Roby Pisco (the Italian Love Machine), Hey! It’s a Mimo Meidany, Mimo’s awesome wife Megan, Cathy Baitson, (the Dutchess of Ireland), and her/our friend Gabby, and Mike “Big Mike” McCaskey, Piotr Trumpiel, and my big brother Jeffrey).

We had such a great walk, in nearly perfect weather and a terrific walk route created by Mr. Kuna. Innsbruck is an awesome place for a Photo Walk – the old town is just so charming and photogenic, and just fun. We wound up a great cafe and shared lots of stories, photos, and laughs. It was a perfect way to celebrate the 11th year of this Worldwide Photo Walk. :)

Of course, thanks for helping the Orphanage (and if you haven’t yet, it’s not too late)
Thanks to all the gracious photographers who donated to help those less fortunate by donating to the Springs of Hope Orphanage in Nakuru, Kenya, which this photo walk has adopted as our own. We’re behind last year’s numbers, so I hope you’ll find a way to help out with a donation — they are really counting on it. Just $1.00 is all we ask. If everybody gave just $1 dollar, we’d blow away last year’s numbers.

Group Shots From Around the World
One of the highlights for me each year, is seeing the group shots from around the world come pouring in — it’s such a treat to see all those smiling faces, from every part of the globe, having fun and enjoying one of the great joys of being a photographer, which is hanging out with other photographers and making new friends in the process.

I’m going to post a few shots here, but I would love it if you’d upload the group shot from your walk here in the comments (don’t forget to name your image with the city and country name of your photo walk).

Mumbai City, India

Braunschweig, Germany
Glennville, Georgia
Garland District, Spokane Washington

Apalachicola, Florida, USA
Indianapolis, Indiana
Croydon, UK

More to come! :)

Thanks to our wonderful main sponsor, Canon USA — we couldn’t have done it without them, and we’re so grateful for their help, enthusiasm and support, and to all our awesome sponsors, and folks out there who helped us spread the word. It means a lot.

The walk may be over, but we’ve got contests and more fun coming!
The local and worldwide photo walk competition part (with awesome prizes at stake) is just beginning, so look for more from my team, and from me and we enter the competition phase. :)

Thanks to everybody who participated in walks around the world. Hope you got lots of great shots, made some new friends, and had a lot of fun making photographs.

Best,

-Scott
