You know that moment when you are sitting in a bar and the pretty girl keeps looking over at you, she approaches you, then walks right past as she was actually looking at the good looking guy behind you? Well, when I got the email from Brad asking if I wanted to be a guest blogger here, my first reaction was to text Glyn and say "I think Brad meant to send you this email mate." I would like to stress that I don’t think of Brad as the pretty girl nor Glyn as the handsome guy, that is a scenario none of us need to think about! Hi, I’m Dave Clayton, a.k.a ‘NAPPMEMBER UK’, a.k.a The NAPP UK Evangelist, a.k.a The Earl of Grey & Lord Chappyton Jollybottom (the latter two thanks to Scott Kelby). I’m not a photographer but one day hope…

My buddies (and co-workers) +RC Concepcion and +pete collins are doing another FREE live webinar today on the just-released "Photoshop Touch" for the iPad 2, and you're invited! (Today they're going more in-depth than they did in the introduction to the Touch yesterday). When: 12:00 Noon ET Today Where:  http://kelbytv.com/onair/ This app is already getting LOTS of buzz --- come see why it rocks!

A big congratulations to our buddy Cliff Mautner who was chosen as the 2012 Nikon Wedding and Portrait Photographers International photographer of the year, and was presented with the award last week at the WPPI Conference in Las Vegas. Anyone who has seen Cliff's amazing images, or learned from Cliff live or online (people literally rave about his Kelby Training Online classes) knows what a talented, passionate photographer and educator he is, and we couldn't be prouder that he was chosen to receive this prestigious award. Our hearty congrats to Cliff and a big high-five from his family here at Kelby Media Group.

OK, I know you're probably hoping this is a custom version of Photoshop designed for the iPad, and if you are, well guess what? That's exactly what it is! (and I have to say, it's pretty darn slick)! Although they certainly didn't build this just for me, it actually has most of the things I was asking for when I wrote a post about what we want in an iPad version of Photoshop (which basically I wanted a stripped down version of the full Photoshop, but it needed to include some some key tools and features [but it had to have stuff like layers, and some key filters], and while I hoped it would have Photoshop's same interface, I have to say that the interface is actually very Photoshop-like (without looking just like Photoshop). It even has Free Transform! Oh, but there's more... Check…

OK, it took us a long, long, long time to get this all working, and approved by Apple, but I'm happy to announce that "Light It Magazine" (our how-to magazine for hot shoe and studio lighting) is now available in the Apple Newstand on your iPad, and you can now subscribe there as well (A one-year subscription; 8 issues, is $19.95 [about $2.50 an issue]). To access it via Newsstand, first get the latest free update to our app (Version 1.2) from the App store and your app icon will move from it's current location) and subscriptions ($19.99 for 8 issues) are now available! Since the subscription service is new (and lots of readers already have issues 1-5) the subscription starts with the most recent issue, which is issue 5. (Issue 6 is on the way!). :) Thanks to everybody who helped to make…
